Down on the farm

On Saturday we got in the car and went for a long drive down the motorway to meet Mummy and Daddy's friends, Anna and Rick. They have a son, Owain, who will be 3 in December.

We stopped briefly at their house and then we drove down a very windy line to a lovely little country pub.

I sat in my high chair and had my lunch and then watched everyone else eat theirs. I was just chilling.

Mummy started taking photos of me but I tried to tell her I had had enough.

Also at the pub I showed off my new trick.

Daddy had left my changing bag back at the house so we had to go back there to pick it up before going to a little farm.

The farm was amazing. You could buy bags of food to feed all the animals with.

There were a few close calls though, as some animals thought my fingers and toes were also food for them.

Dotted around the farm were different pieces of machinery, like tractors and combined harvesters. You were allowed to sit on them which was great fun.

We also played lots of games too. Daddy hung me upside down and Mummy jumps up and down with me, I love it.

I had nice cuddles too.

I actually got to see some live ducks!

Before leaving the farm to go home we stopped for a quick drink and I tried some mint ice-cream for the first time. I didn't really like it though.

I slept in the car on the way home but we stopped in the big shops first to pick up Mummy's engagement ring and to drop off her phone which is still broken.

The engagement ring didn't look right so is being sent back and the mobile phone will have to be sorted out online so it was a bit of a wasted journey.

The evening routine was pretty standard.

On Sunday Mummy had her lie in and then when she got up, she spent all afternoon in the kitchen cooking! I'm not complaining as it is all for me.

First up was meat with tasty rice and vegetables, which I had for dinner along with natural yogurt with fresh strawberries.

Next Mummy made a casserole which took ages to cook. Daddy took a bowl for himself.

Then Mummy baked a cheesecake which was supposed to be for Daddy's birthday but Mummy wanted to practice.

It hasn't been decorated yet but when it has, I will post another picture.

While Mummy was doing all the cooking, Daddy took me out in my buggy for an hour. We went to the park and to Sainsburys. Daddy let me have a go on the big slide at the park. Sorry no video footage.

Mummy took a break and sat and read books with me for 25 minutes. We did nearly every book and I was still unhappy when we finished. I just love book time.

Bath and bed routine, same same.

Car home at last!

Stayed in all day on Thursday. It was really boring but Mummy did cook me a lovely tuna and sweetcorn dish.

No videos or pictures taken so here are 2 videos that Mummy found. She isn't sure if she has posted these before or not.

Mummy went out again, to her yoga class which she really enjoys.

Friday morning we thought we were going swimming on our own but when we arrived, Nanny and Auntie Katie were already there! It was such a nice surprise.

We had a really good time in the pool and stayed in for ages and ages. Chloe nearly drowned twice but she seemed to recover quite quickly. Kamron always tries to drown himself but he finds it really funny.

I have been practicing walking with my walker. I am actually really good now and can go all across the living room and back again. Mummy videoed a little bit of it today.

Twinkling Stars was really good too. I got to play with all my friends and just crawl around doing whatever I wanted.

When we arrived home, our car was back! At last! It had been gone for over a month. Mummy was really pleased but will need to learn how to drive it again. It is much, much bigger than the Clio we have been using.

Daddy gave me my bath and to my surprise Granddad Rennolds arrived for a visit. He came and spoke to me while I was enjoying my bath.

Feed then bed.

Car?

Not a very interesting few days really. Sing and Sign on Monday was quite good. The gang of boys that I usually hang out with were away so I had the whole room to explore on my own. Mummy had to keep getting up and down to retrieve me.

We went straight home as the car was due to be delivered but it never arrived so after my afternoon nap we went up to Nanny Rennolds' house to use her washing machine as ours broke.

We then went for a walk to Auntie Katie's house. I had fun playing with my cousins, and Chloe was her usual funny self.

The evening was the normal routine and then Mummy went to the cinema with Sharon (Sophie's Mummy) to watch The Happening. Mummy said there were a few jumpy bits but it wasn't too scary.

Tuesday morning we went to Jolly Babies. We arrived nice and early and had the chance to watch the chickens in the field next to the hall. They were running all over the place.

After lunch I had my afternoon nap, and although Mummy put me down early, I didn't wake up until about 2:50pm. This meant that we were very late getting to the park to meet the other Mummies.

We had a nice time at the park just playing and chatting and I even managed to conquer my fear of the grass. I still don't like it that much but I did crawl off a few times.

Again the evening was routine and Mummy went out yet again to see Auntie Lucy.

Wednesday the car was due again but never arrived. I wonder if we will ever see it again!

Food shopping took up pretty much the whole morning but we had a nice visit from Nanny Rennolds in the canteen at Asdals.

The new washing machine arrived and then we were free to go out again.

Mummy is doing some more cooking for me and wasn't able to get all of the ingredients needed in the morning so in the afternoon we went for a walk down to the shops to get some more stuff.

Mummy couldn't find what she needed so a nice man helped her. I must point out here that the man did actually work for the shop.

We arrived home at the same time as Daddy and had dinner straight away.

Mummy gave me a bath and put me to bed and can you believe it, she went out again to line dancing practice.

Makka Pakka

We didn't take any photos/videos on Friday or Saturday so Mummy found this cute little video of me when I was nearly a month old. Mummy regularly looks through all the old pictures and videos so I am sure she will find more soon.

Swimming on Friday was really good. Nanny and Auntie Katie were a little bit late so we thought they weren't coming but we ended up staying in for a really long time and we had the pool all to ourselves!

Nanny didn't get in this week so when Mummy had had enough, I was given to Nanny to get dressed and Mummy did a few lengths of the pool.

Mummy is trying really hard to get fit and back into pre-pregnancy shape. Not much left to go I don't think.

Back at home, I had my lunch and then we waited for a call from the garage to see if our car was coming back today. We soon found out that it will be Monday at the earliest! They have had our car for a month now.

Twinkling Stars was good as always. Faith and Anna were missing this week but it was still nice to see Iestyn and Sophie. Mummy always has a good natter while I sit chewing all the different rubber balls.

In the evening, Mummy went out to a local pub with the other Mummies. She had a really good time and even bumped into R Ange, John, Nanny and Granddad Rennolds.

Saturday morning, Mummy had her lie in and Daddy gave me my breakfast. We had lots of fun playing as usual and then I was back in bed for my morning nap.

I was asleep for 2 hours which meant Mummy had a nice long time in bed before getting up with me at about 11am.

Mummy spent most of Saturday cooking in the kitchen. She prepared some potato, squash, cauliflower and some cheesy tomato with pasta stars.

Daddy entertained me and we spent some time reading. I love looking at all my books and in fact when it is time to stop, I can get a bit grumpy about it.

Sunday morning was Daddy's turn to stay in bed and Mummy and I just messed around for a bit.

We stayed in most of the day and Mummy cooked a turkey roast dinner. She is getting quite good in the kitchen now, much to Daddy's delight.

Late in the afternoon we took a quick walk down to the shops for some necessities and then on the way home we stopped at the local park for a go on the swings and slide.

At home, Mummy was in the kitchen making some rice pudding which smelt delicious. I hope I get to try some tomorrow.

I wasn't very happy for the rest of the afternoon and Mummy thought it might be my teeth bothering me. Mummy gave me my bath and put me to bed but I wasn't interested in my last feed so Mummy thought I might wake up anyway.

An hour later I was awake and crying. I had 2 doses of Calpol, some water and Calgel put on my gums. That seemed to do the trick and although I woke a few times in the night, I managed to stay in bed until 6:50am.

Health Check

Mummy took me to the doctors in the morning and they had a look in my ears. They were fine so that was good news.

The health visitor arrived early and she had a long chat with Mummy before I was weighed and measured.

I am 23lb 12 oz and 76 cm long. The lady said I was a very healthy weight and completely normal. She also said that she was very pleased with my progress and that Mummy was doing a good job.

I had lunch and then was put into bed for a nap.

Mummy noticed that my knees are really bruised and tried to take a picture but I just wouldn't stay still long enough so a video was done instead.

Mummy and I went to the shops to pick up some dinner for Daddy and on the way home we stopped in the park.

I had a go on the swings and went down the slide a few times too. The slide was really good but I wasn't too sure what you were supposed to do on it.

Back at home, Mummy cooked the dinners and when Daddy came home, he finished off feeding me.

Daddy ate all his dinner then had a snooze on the sofa.

Mummy gave me my bath, feed and put me to bed, then went off to her yoga class.

Bang Bang!

I kept Mummy very busy in the morning by trying to reach, touch and grab anything I could, that I wasn't supposed to.

Mummy eventually had enough and punished me by sticking me in the Bumbo. What was I to do!

In the afternoon we had visitors. Nic and Ella came over for an hour and Mummy got to have lots of cuddles. To think that I was once that small. Mummy couldn't believe it or remember it.

Mummy gave me my bath in the evening and we played a game of shooting the ducks. I love it!

It was then time for bed. Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment to check my ears and I am seeing the health visitor for my 8 month check - better late than never.

Dentist

Jolly Babies was really good fun and I was really happy. Mummy held me up while we did some dancing and I was kicking my legs really hard.

We then went to pick up Nanny Rennolds before going to the dentist for Mummy.

This was the first time I had been to the dentist and I was fine. I sat on Mummy's lap on this big chair with a big light above it and the dentist, Dr Key, put a purple glove on and then tried to stick his finger in my mouth. He was being quite timid so I think he was worried that he would make me cry, but I really didn't mind at all.

Mummy said that she would bring me again when Daddy goes next month. Maybe next time he might get to have a look at my 8 teeth, although I think I may have a couple more by then.

We had lunch at Nanny's house and then we popped in to see Auntie Katie and my cousins, Chloe and Kamron.

I also got to see Tyler and Otis who were in the garden. Auntie Katie let me sit on Tyler for a bit which was really exciting.

Chloe was really sweet and asked Mummy to take a picture of her. She looks really pretty.

Then we went to Asda to do a bit of shopping and we sat in the canteen for a drink before looking around a few more shops and then going home.

For dinner I had salmon, carrot, cabbage, courgette and cauliflower. It was yummy and I ate it all but I do think some might of got in my hair.

Daddy came home and I had so much fun playing. We played my new favourite game and I also read a few books.

Daddy gave me a bath and then Mummy sat me on her lap to brush my teeth. Usually I am laid down for it, so I think the dentist may have said something to Mummy today.

We don't have much planned for tomorrow so I don't know what we are going to do.

Fun with Faith

Sing and Sign was really good. I spent my time at the front of the class with the teacher trying to eat her necklace with no success.

Went to Lidl after for some vegetables as Mummy is doing some food for me and I was so happy from my group that I was talking really, really loud. Everyone was looking at me and that just made me worse! Mummy thought it was really funny.

At home I took ages to eat a sandwich and then I had some playtime before going to bed.

Mummy had agreed to look after Faith in the afternoon so Charlotte came over and had a chat before going out.

I was still in bed so Mummy and Faith had some playtime together and Faith did a video for me to show me how walking should be done.

I then came downstairs to see what was going on. I was a bit groggy to start with but I soon joined in on all the fun.

I am so embarrassed. I was giving Faith kisses and I didn't realise that Mummy was filming me!

Charlotte came back and Faith had a short nap and her dinner before going home.

I then had my dinner and I think Mummy got a bit fed up with me crawling around everywhere.

It wasn't long after, that I had a very quick bath, feed and was put to bed.

Trolley Dollies

On Wednesday morning we met up with Nanny Rennolds so that Mummy could look at some dancing shoes. Mummy does her line dancing in trainers but she would really like some jazz trainers rather than line dancing boots.

Mummy tried a few pairs on in the shop but they didn't have her exact size so the lady has to order them in.

With a bit of time to spare before lunch we quickly popped in to see Auntie Karen.

After a quick cup of tea and some cuddles we were back in the car and going home.

After lunch Mummy and I went for a walk to Sainsburys just to have a look around and to waste a bit of time.

It was then back home for dinner, bath and bed.

Thursday morning Mummy tried to get me to do some walking with my walker but I was just too busy chatting and making noises to worry about walking.

We then went into town to go to Mummy's old place of work. As we entered the office a circle of cooing women surrounded me in my buggy. I love it and in fact I encouraged them by giving them toothy smiles.

We stopped off for lunch in a near by pub with Louise and then we went to Starbucks to meet Auntie Lucy for a cup of tea.

I had nice cuddles while Mummy had a chat.

We stayed there for an hour and then we went walking around the shops to try and find some Fathers' Day presents but there just wasn't anything we liked.

We left town and stopped off at some other shops but still didn't find anything. Mummy wasn't very happy.

I was certainly fed up and very tired as I hadn't had my afternoon nap so used the time in the car to try and catch up.

So that Mummy didn't have to wake me up, she went home to pick up my milk feed for the afternoon before going to yet more shops! We managed to buy Daddy some shoes and a book.

I was fed my afternoon feed in the car and then we went straight home.

Friday morning was swimming. We had an excellent time as always and Faith and Mark made it too which always makes it extra special.

Twinkling Stars was good too. Mummy doesn't let me crawl off too far yet so I can get a bit annoyed with her at times.

Faith is doing really, really well with standing up and walking/tottering around. I am so jealous of her and I hope that I too can be walking around with her soon.

Saturday morning, Mummy had a lie in as she had a line dance the night before and didn't get in until really late. Daddy looked after me and we had lots and lots of fun. We invented a new game too. I try to crawl off as fast as I can and then Daddy grabs my ankle, tells me he got me and then drags me back to him. It is so funny.

When Mummy got up we went into the centre of town to pick up Mummy's friend Zoe from the bus station. Mummy hasn't seen Zoe since she was 38 weeks pregnant with me so she was really excited to see her.

Zoe sat in the back of the car with me and she has such a wicked smile that I couldn't help but smile back. I liked her straight away.

We went to a pub in town and I had a cuddle with Zoe.

We then stopped off at a couple of touristy things around town so that Zoe could see a bit of where we live.

Mummy was having a lovely time chatting and catching up with all the things that have happened over the past year.

Zoe helped Mummy to give me my bath and then I was put to bed. Mummy and Zoe had dinner with Daddy and started drinking some red wine.

A bottle of wine later, Mummy and Zoe walked down to the local pub to have a couple of drinks and a good chat.

I think they may of had a few more than a couple of drinks as you can tell from the following pictures and videos.

Zoe tried to show Mummy some tricks but ended up getting stuck. Mummy didn't help though as she was too busy filming.

I think Mummy could have been arrested for drink driving.

Mummy had another late night but had to get up early with me on Sunday. She was very tired and could barely speak. She also spent quite a lot of time in the toilet and I was getting rather bored.

I was soon back in bed for my morning nap and Mummy spent her time typing up this very long blog entry. Mummy has just been so busy during the week that she hasn't had the chance to do it.

As it was Fathers Day, Mummy made Daddy breakfast in bed but he ended up getting up to eat it anyway.

Once I was awake we gave him his presents and cards. The shoes didn't fit! Ah! That means we have to go back to the stupid shops.

We went up to see Granddad Rennolds and I played with all the toys while the adults were chatting away about stuff that I am just not interested in.

Nanny and Granddad were going out for lunch and they invited us along too. Unfortunately when we got to the pub, Mummy realised that Daddy had left my lunch back at the house and so Granddad had to drive all the way home and back again.

We had a lovely time chatting, playing and having cuddles.

Me and my Daddy.

Mummy and Zoe.

Mummy, Nanny Rennolds and Zoe.

I went to sleep in my buggy and then we went back into town to drop Zoe off at the bus station. Mummy was very sad to see her go and wished that she could have stayed for at least a week. We all hope to see Zoe again very soon.

Next stop was Nanny and Granddad George's house. Daddy was messing around with the car with Uncle Dave and I sat playing with Nanny for ages.

Mummy was very tired and I think if she was left alone for too long, she would have fallen asleep on the sofa.

We made it home by 5:30pm and I had my dinner of lamb and vegetables.

Wow, what a busy few days. Next week is supposed to be really busy too. I don't know how Mummy manages to do it all. She is the best.
