Oscar Rolling!

Unless it is really worth mentioning, i'm going to try really hard to not write too much as this is just getting ridiculous! Obviously there is loads I could say or talk about and it's sad that Oscar's early days with our family won't be recorded as rigorously or as fully but that's just the way it is and I have to move on.

Finally Oscar falls asleep in my arms at about 11pm, when eventually all his burps and sick has come up.

2nd July - I took Ellis to Sophie and Anna's birthday party which he really enjoyed. He loves dancing and didn't sit down once.

I wet myself laughing every time I see this video.

Winding down to go home, or not in most cases!

Rob had taken Leo and Oscar to his Mum and Dads for an hour. They couldn't go to the party just in case Oscar had chicken pox.

We got home, had some lunch and walked down to the community festival.

It was all too much for some.

There was a good turn out.

I got a fake tattoo too, of a butterfly on my forearm. I loved it and it lasted for days!

We thought Ellis would love having a go on the go-karts but he couldn't quite get the hang of it and kept crashing, and others were hitting him too so he cried off eventually. The guy on the stall gave him a free medal for trying though which was really sweet and he was so proud of it.

We bumped into lots of people we know which was nice and I really felt like I was part of a community. I liked it and look forward to next year, which they are already planning.

Everyone was worn out the next day. I was up with the boys first thing then after lunch Rob took the older 2 to the park to try out the new frisbees.

One got stuck in the tree and lots of people tried to help to get it back. They managed it.

Dropping Ellis off at preschool on Monday I put Oscar in the back part of the Phil and Teds buggy for the first time, so of course I had to take a picture.

I went to see Sophie straight after and Maggie had cuddles with Oscar.

Oscar fell asleep on me, which very rarely happens now as I put him down a lot, so I got Sophie to take a picture for memories sake.

I popped to Sainsbury's after lunch and bumped into a midwife I had in hospital with Oscar. We had a lovely chat and I thanked her for being such a great midwife. Pretty sure she didn't remember me.

While walking round to pick Ellis up, Leo and Oscar had a snooze.

Mum came over just after 5pm. The boys had been fed so we just played in the garden until bath time. Nanny helped of course which is always appreciated, especially in the early days when it was just mental! Oscar was always screaming for feeds and sleep and the other 2 just had to put up with a stressed out Mummy, trying to hurry them up all the time.

Nanny did story time and stayed for a coffee before going home.

We went to Leo's gym class first thing, which is always good fun, then back at home I tried out my new electric breast pump. Exciting stuff! I was really in need of break but in order to do that I needed to get Oscar taking milk from a bottle. I had always struggled with a manual pump and used to resort to hand expressing, which is hard work and very messy. The electric pump was much easier.

We had a chill out day even though we had arranged to go to the library and meet friends in the park. I just wasn't up for it, even though staying at home is sometimes harder work in many ways. We ended up making a big bed on the floor to have snuggles and watch TV.

In the evening Rob was home after bath time and we had a takeaway. Oscar fed loads and eventually fell asleep on me by 10:30pm. His colic not improving at all.

Rubbish entry I know, but has to be done.
