Radio - Extra Entry

Last night Mummy was on the radio! The show was about grammatical errors and Mummy had something she wanted to get off her chest.

Here it is.

Bad Hair Day

Very boring day on Wednesday. Mummy and I stayed in all day and the only new thing was that I got to use a plate for my lunch.

Mummy bathed me and put me to bed and then went out for her line dancing lesson.

Thursday morning we had a lovely surprise visit from Naomi and Iestyn. We had a really nice time just playing while the Mummies had a chat and mug of something.

In the afternoon Mummy got her hair cut. It went from this...

to this...

While Mummy had her hair cut, Nanny Rennolds took me for a walk to the shops and then on to the park. I had a wicked time on the swings, slide and see-saw.

Speaking of hair, this morning I woke up with all my hair sticking up. It hadn't done that for ages so Mummy took some pictures.

The rest of the day was very routine and Mummy gave me a bath and put me to bed before going out again to her yoga class.

Underwear

Mummy needed to buy some new underwear so on Monday we went to some local shops with Nanny Rennolds, but they didn't have what she wanted.

We popped up to Nanny's for lunch and then went to some really, really big shops.

They had what Mummy wanted so we weren't there for very long.

We stopped at a toy shop and bought a couple of bibs and then went to Morrisons for a sit down and a drink.

We arrived home just after 4 and I was asleep. Mummy tried to put me on the sofa to carry on sleeping but I didn't like it.

In the evening Mummy started a new project of putting lots of pictures together to go up on the wall. I think it looks pretty good.

On Sunday Daddy mowed the lawn but before he did this, Mummy rescued some daisies.

Mummy and Daddy bathed me and Mummy put me to bed.

Tuesday morning, Mummy and I went and did some food shopping before having lunch.

After lunch we just messed around until it was time for my nap at 1:30pm.

Charlotte and Faith arrived early for Mummies afternoon at 2pm so Mummy got to just sit down and chat.

Everyone else arrived while I was asleep but I soon came down to join them all.

There was Sally, Anna, Charlotte, Faith, Sarah, Toby and his older brother Oliver.

We all had fun playing and eveyone stayed until nearly 5 o'clock.

I had my dinner and then practiced my walking with Mummy and Daddy before Mummy bathed me and put to bed. Not sure what is planned for tomorrow.

Mummy also wanted to post a couple of pictures of Wayne and Nics new baby, Ella, from the weekend. She has really grown and we can't wait to go and see her again. Hopefully we will go on Thursday if they are home.

Hot, hot, hot!

It was so hot today! I spent most of the day with just my nappy on.

Mummy did the early morning shift and then went back to bed at the same time as me.

The when I woke up, Daddy took over the second morning shift. This seems to work rather well and it means that both Mummy and Daddy get a good amount of sleep on the weekends.

Granddad George is unwell again and is back in hospital for a few tests. Daddy stayed home to look after me and Mummy took Nanny George to the hospital for a visit. We hope he gets better soon and is allowed to go home.

Once Mummy was home, I had some milk and then we all went for a walk along the cycle track and then on to the park.

I loved every minute! Just spending time with Mummy and Daddy together is the best.

I went on the swings.

I went on the see-saw with Mummy.

Then we chilled out in the shade.

Daddy tried to take a picture of the 3 of us but wasn't that successful. Mummy finally managed to just squeeze us in.

We left the park at 5:30pm and hurried home to give me my dinner. I had beef sandwiches with crisps, cheese and fruit. It was yummy.

Mummy gave me my bath and put me to bed in just my nappy. I really, really didn't want to go to bed so Mummy sat in my room with me until I went to sleep. I was so hot.

Cat

Mummy has fallen in love with a neighbours cat and wants to steal it. Daddy wont let her of course but she is a really lovely cat.

Wednesday was rather boring. Daddy's car broke down again so he took our car to work and we were stuck at home.

Mummy just did loads of house work and cooking etc.

On Thursday we went to Costco with Nanny Rennolds to do some shopping for house hold goods etc.

Mummy and Nanny got lots of nice things and they had loads of fun looking around the shop deciding what to put in the trolley.

I was put in charge of looking after all the stuff in the car on the way home.

We then went to Nanny and Granddad's house so that we could borrow their car for a few days.

We didn't leave straight away as Mummy and Granddad were messing around printing pictures of me and so Nanny fed me my dinner and kept me occupied with loads of toys. I had so much fun.

We got home really late and I went straight upstairs for my bath and bed.

Friday morning we went swimming which was really good. We arrived a little later than normal and Nanny, Auntie Kate, Chloe and Kamron were slightly early, so we met them in the pool.

Sharon and Sophie had just got out the pool as we arrived so we didn't get to see them for long.

We went home straight away for lunch and then Mummy spent her time vacuuming the house. It took her ages and when I had my nap, she did over an hours worth of ironing!

One of the things that Mummy got in Costco with Nanny, was a new mattress for her bed. Granddad Rennolds had kindly arranged for it to be picked up for us and so in the evening he brought it over. He only stayed for a couple of minutes and then he was gone. I was in the bath.

Mummy stayed up for a bit but was so excited to go to bed with her new mattress and fresh bedding. She said it was really, really comfortable and that she didn't want to get out of bed for a few days.

Saturday morning Daddy got up with me and Mummy stayed in bed. I wondered if what she had said the previous night might actually be true, but it turned out that Mummy had to get up anyway as Charlotte was picking her up.

For Mummy's birthday back in May, she had bought a spa treatment package with Charlotte so Daddy and I were going to be on our own all day.

Daddy and I had lots of fun and we even had a visitor who I showed all my tricks too. I can point to my nose, ears and mouth now which Mummy and Daddy love.

Unfortunately Daddy forgot to take any pictures during the day, which was probably not a bad thing as I stayed in my pyjamas all day!

Mummy and Charlotte had an amazing time. They chilled out in a warm pool on the roof of the spa, sat in some steam rooms, soaked in another pool, had a full body massage and exfoliate, pedicure and facial.

They then went for some lunch and a bit of shopping before coming home. Charlotte wanted to buy Faith an outfit but they didn't have her size.

In the evening, Mummy gave me my bath and changed my pyjamas before putting me to bed. I wasn't very happy about it but I eventually went to sleep.

Euan

Monday morning we went to visit my friends from the post-natal yoga group, Rachael and Euan.

We arrived and parked in their very narrow dead end street and Mummy was worried about how she was going to get out again. That was until, Rachael came zooming down the road, backwards and parked with no fuss at all. Mummy knew straight away that Rachael would be driving our car out of the road later on.

It was lunch time so I sat up to the table with Euan, eating our sandwiches, crisps, fruit and yogurt. I had a really nice time and felt like a grown up.

We then moved into the living room which was nice and bright and I played with all of Euan's toys. I had loads of fun and didn't want to go home.

As we were leaving, Rachael gave me a lovely balloon to take home. I love them!

Rachael kindly moved our car, with great precision and speed. Mummy was very impressed to say the least, and then we left to go to the shops.

Mummy bought a few items in the NEXT sale for me, when I'm a bit older, and something for Leighton and Jaidan's little boy who is due at the end of August. We can't wait to meet him.

Back at home, we just played around until Mummy gave me a bath, feed and bed. I didn't want to go to sleep straight away as I had had a late nap due to being at the shops. I eventually went down at about 8:30pm.

Tuesday morning, Mummy decided to do some cooking. It was rather strange as Mummy chose to cook, leeks, courgettes and a sponge cake. The smell emitting from the kitchen was rather odd.

Mummies afternoon was at Charlotte and Faith's house. It was really nice to sit out in the back room over looking the garden with the sun coming in through the sky lights.

We all had lots of fun but I did start to become a bit of a handful towards the end.

Mummy and I went home via the shops. I had my dinner, a bit of playtime and then bath and bed. I didn't get to see Daddy as he was up Nanny and Granddad Rennolds' house doing computer stuff.

Sophie & Euan turn 1!

This blog entry is quite long but there are loads of pictures.

On Thursday we went down to the local park to meet up with Naomi, Iestyn, Sarah, Toby, Oliver, Sally and Anna. We all had a really nice time just generally messing around and trying to do things that we shouldn't really be doing.

Toby was really brave, and crazy, by walking up the slide and then rolling down it. It was great fun though. The picture shows Iestyn trying to do the same thing.

After the park we went to the shops to pick up a few things for Daddy as it was his 32nd birthday on Friday. We managed to get everything we needed and so we went home for bath and bed.

Mummy went to her yoga session and had a really good time as always.

Friday was Daddy's birthday as well as Sophie's. Daddy had to go out though so he didn't get much of a lie in.

He opened his cards and gifts and was then out the door.

We went swimming at the usual time and Sophie was there again too so that was really good. Kamron had arm bands on and was floating around the pool by the steps. He hasn't quite worked it out yet but it wont be very long before he is doing lengths of the pool.

Daddy came home around lunch time and needed to get some work done. I think Mummy and I were in his way as we were soon up with Nanny and Granddad Rennolds just messing around.

We stayed there for dinner and then Mummy took me home for my bath and bed. Uncle Dave popped in to be with Daddy as Mummy went out to a line dance.

Mummy had a really good time and won a teddy for me on the raffle. We named him Leo. He has my hair and a belly button!

Sophie also turned one on Friday, so on Saturday we went to her house for her birthday party.

We all sat on rugs in the back garden under an umbrella playing with lots of toys. We had an amazing time.

I also received my first, first birthday present from Sally, Nick and Anna. It was a book and a puzzle. I love it.

The whole gang was there but we didn't even attempt a group photo so here are a few that Mummy took.

Me

We stayed for so long that Sophie's Nanny made us a little dinner. We had sandwiches, dried fruit, little muffins and our favourite, Petit Filous.

yum!

Mummy and Sally were having such a good time that in the end they had to be thrown out as they just didn't want to go home. They were even talking about hopping on a bus and going into town, leaving me and Anna with Daddy. They thought it was so funny.

burn me!

We finally made it home and Mummy finished off my bath and put me to bed. I was very tired.

I also have to mention my friend Euan who also had his birthday on the 18th July. Happy birthday! I think I am seeing him on Monday which will be brilliant.

When I woke on Sunday, we went straight downstairs and I had my breakfast a bit early. Usually I go into Mummy and Daddy's bed and have some milk before some solid food a bit later on. I think the reason for the change is that I bit Mummy quite hard on Saturday morning and I think she had just had enough.

The morning was really boring so I was very pleased when we arrived at the park for Faith's birthday party.

Her family had brought over loads of food and decorated some trees with balloons and banners. It was really nice.

Faith is the first one from the group to start walking. She is doing so well and she spent all her time walking around picking things up, mainly food.

We again sat on rugs and played with some toys. This time though, there was this bike that could be pushed by an adult. I wasn't sure to start with but I was soon loving it! The wind in my hair was wicked!

We sang happy birthday and Faith had a cake. Luckily the candles stayed lit for the whole song.

We left around 4:30pm, after Mummy had over filled her tummy, and went straight home.

Daddy read to me for a bit and fed me my dinner as Mummy was cooking a cottage pie. It smelled yummy and I can't wait to try it.

Daddy gave me my bath and Mummy fed me and put me to bed. I must have been asleep by the time she shut the door as I don't remember hearing her leave.
