Chloe Turns 3

The day of Chloe's birthday party, Daddy and I were up nice and early having breakfast. Mummy had a nice lie in and Daddy gave her a bacon sandwich and cup of tea in bed.

The day was routine until it was time to go out. My trunks were packed and we were at the pool early.

Uncle Craig, Auntie Karen, Charley, Morgan and a friend were also there early so we had a little chat and a couple of cuddles before we went to get changed.

Auntie Katie, Chloe and Kamron arrived a little bit late as they were stuck in traffic.

We had the whole pool to ourselves which was brilliant. Everyone was messing around and Mummy was dunked several times by Uncle Craig. I know exactly how she feels as I am dunked every time we go swimming. I don't mind now, as I am so used to it.

A good time was had by all and we were in the pool for nearly 45 minutes. I think that is the longest time I have been in there.

Unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures or video so I have nothing to show you.

We went to a local pub after so that we could blow the candles out on the cake and give Chloe her presents. We bought her a sticker book and a dolly from In The Night Garden.

Chloe doesn't like lots of noise and people cheering so she wasn't too happy about us singing Happy Birthday.

Here are some pictures of the people that were there.

I had to have my dinner so we had to leave quite early.

We rushed home and I was given some food, a good bath to get rid of the Chlorine and then put into bed. I was shattered! I was so tired that I went straight to sleep.

7:30am Mummy comes into my room to get me up. Little did she know but it felt like 6:30am to me. The reason, the clocks had gone forward but Mummy hadn't noticed as her mobile phone re-set the time for her. This was really good because I didn't notice either and was just kept in my normal routine and it all worked out well.

For lunch we picked up Wayne and Nic, see www.nicsbump.com, and met up with Simon, Tilly and Ethan in town for some food.

We had to wait ages for the food to arrive but when it did we realised why it took so long. Mummy ordered a chicken club sandwich and ended up with half a farm on her plate. It was so funny.

Everyone said the food was really good, even though there was so much of it. Simon's burger was almost as big as Ethan.

We stayed for quite a while just chatting. Everyone was talking about babies, holidays, weddings and work. I just messed around with Ethan's toys and had cuddles with everyone.

On the way back to the car we realised that we hadn't actually paid for the parking. We were expecting a ticked on the windscreen but we were lucky this time.

After dropping Wayne and Nic back home, we went back to our home and just played for a little bit until it was time for my bath and bed routine. I had no trouble going to bed, even though it was still light outside.

Monday morning Mummy came in to get me again at 7:30am. I had gone for 12 1/2 hours. I didn't sleep the whole time but I didn't call Mummy and Daddy either, so they were allowed to get lots of rest. Unfortunately Mummy didn't sleep too well so it didn't actually end up benefiting her too much. I think she is worried about leaving me with Daddy this weekend.

We arrived at yoga early so that I could have a sleep in the car. I managed about 20 minutes before we went into the house.

It was just us and 2 other Mummies and babies. It was really good because I got to play with loads of toys and Mummy got to have a really good work out. After she said her thighs were killing her already and we hadn't even left the house.

We left late as Mummy was busy chatting and didn't notice that it was nearly 12:30!

By the time we got home, I was sound asleep. Mummy moved me into the living room and made as much noise as possible but I didn't budge. In the end Mummy woke me up so that she could give me some lunch. I wasn't very happy about it. I was soon okay when I was stuffing my face.

My sleeping and eating routine was all out of place now but the afternoon was lots of fun and I went down for a nap at 3:45pm. Mummy came to get me at 5 and then I had my dinner at 5:30pm. That meant by the time I had finished and Mummy had cleared up, it was time for me to have a bath and go to bed.

I was wide awake when I was put to bed but I was still a good boy and went to sleep. For how long, we will see.

Nothing New

Wednesday morning we met up with the Mummies from the yoga group and had a walk in the rain which I think was more fun for me.

We stopped for a cup of tea at a cafe and then had a quick visit with Jaidan, Leighton and Sabriel. Jaidan is having her 20 week scan on Tuesday and hopefully we can find out what sex the baby is. Mummy is sure it's a girl. I hope she is wrong as I would like more boys to play with.

We arrived home late for my lunch and I was starving. I had loads to eat and Mummy could hardly pick me up from my high chair.

When we arrived home, Nanny and Kamron were sat outside waiting for us. Kamron played with my toys and Nanny had a nice chat with Mummy. They didn't stay long.

The rest of the day was just spent doing the usual things of books, door bouncing, singing, clapping and playing on my mat.

On Thursday, I'm not sure what was wrong with Mummy but she just couldn't stop cleaning. She was pulling all the furniture around and sorting things out.

For lunch Mummy filled my tray with finger food. I was so excited that I tried to shove it in my mouth, all at the same time. Mummy thought it was hilarious.

After my afternoon nap we went for a walk to the shops. We only got a few things and didn't see anyone we knew.

On the way home we stopped in the doctors to see if we could get some eye drops for me. My eyes have been a bit pink and swollen recently and Mummy has been bathing them but they just haven't got better. They said a doctor would call and let us know.

We got home and Mummy put the shopping away when we got a call from the doctor saying that the prescription would be at the desk in 5 minutes. So it was back in the buggy and back down to the doctors and then shops.

We arrived home just after 5:30pm and I was starving! Daddy arrived home from work and he fed me my dinner while Mummy cooked fajitas for their dinner.

Usual bath and bed routine.

I woke up on Friday morning at about 7:30am and Mummy came to get me 10 minutes later. I had slept for just over 12 hours again. Mummy was so pleased.

I had a huge milk feed and then went downstairs for my breakfast which I scoffed. It was then time to go back to bed. How cool is that!

We didn't go swimming today because we are going to Chloe's swimming birthday party tomorrow.

Instead Mummy spent her time sorting out loads of food for me. She did squash, carrot, parsnip, pear, apple, plum, peach and cheesy tomato pasta.

We had Twinkling Stars in the afternoon which is always good fun. Iestyn and Sophie are both crawling really well and Faith just loves to walk everywhere - hands held of course.

I stood around and had a chat with the girls but we were soon on our way home again.

Daddy fed me my dinner while Mummy finished off sorting out my food.

Daddy then gave me my bath and Mummy helped to finish off. I was really tired by the time I had my last feed. It didn't take me long to fall asleep.

12 Hours

I slept for 12 hours last night! Even I couldn't believe it.

Jolly Babies in the morning was really good. Iestyn and Naomi couldn't make it so we actually had to chat to the other Mummies. I met Joel who is 13 months old. He is walking really well, and I'm not even crawling yet. I have started to push myself backwards so hopefully it wont be long until I can figure out how to go forward.

Lunch was yummy. I had cod and vegetables.

I was put down for my nap around 1pm and I usually go for about an hour and half to 2 hours but Mummy for some reason woke me up early.

I was put in my buggy and then I realised that it was Mummy afternoon.

This week it was at Sally and Anna's house. Sharon, Sophie, Charlotte and Faith were also there.

I had a lovely time playing on the floor, and Mummy ate way too many biscuits and cakes.

We arrived home just after 4 and Mummy put me back to bed to try and finish off my nap I started earlier. It worked and stayed there for 40 minutes.

The rest of the evening was uneventful and I was in bed by 7pm.

R.I.P. Misty Moos

I slept through the night again but woke Mummy up at 5:50am. She didn't come to get me though until about 6:10am where she found me parallel to the bottom of the cot.

I was moved back into a normal position and then left again. I couldn't believe it, so I rolled over on my front and then continued to moan for another 10 minutes to see if I could get Mummy to come back. Needless to say, she did, and we were soon downstairs having breakfast.

We didn't have anything planned for today, so Mummy just ate loads of chocolate and Daddy did some work. I played on the floor with all my toys.

For Easter I received a book from Nanny and Granddad Rennolds, some joggers, vests and a book from Nanny and Granddad George and a chocolate egg from Uncle Craig, Auntie Karen and Cousin Charley. Thanks everyone.

Lunch was good as always and then I just played some more. I went in my door bouncer which is always good fun and I just couldn't stop talking today. It was nice to have Mummy and Daddy all to myself.

Since going onto solid food, I seem to do number 2's all the time! I have now ended up with a sore bottom so Mummy and Daddy are checking me every 30 minutes to see if I need changing. I don't mind.

Granddad Rennolds phoned just before 4 o'clock to speak to Mummy. She then gave me and Daddy a kiss and left the house.

Mummy and Daddy had a cat called Misty who they had had for nearly 13 years. She was put down a few months before I was born so I never got to meet her. Mummy talks about her a lot and shows me pictures so I feel like I know her. Anyway, Mummy went to bury her today. I know she was quite sad about it as she said it made it feel more real now, that she was actually gone and not coming back. I think she is relieved that it is all over though.

While Mummy was out, Daddy played with me loads, read to me and fed me my dinner. We had tons of fun but we missed Mummy.

Mummy got home in time to give me a bath and Daddy put their dinner on.

It was quite a quick bath but I fell asleep having my feed so I may wake up in the night. Sorry Mummy if I do.

Happy Easter

Easter Sunday was Mummy's lie in day. I had slept through again but this meant that I was awake at 6:50am. I don't think Daddy was too happy about that.

I had my bum changed then I was given to Mummy for my milk breakfast and then Daddy took me downstairs.

We played for a bit and then Daddy gave me my breakfast of Weetabix and a Petit Filous. I think I must be having a growing period because I am so hungry and my breakfast just wasn't enough.

I went back to bed at 9:30am and I stayed there until nearly 11am. I think Mummy and Daddy were okay with this as they just used the time to chill out.

I had lunch then just messed around really until it was time for another nap. I seem to be liking my bed at the moment as I had nearly an hour and half sleep. I had a bottle when I got up and once I had finished it, I was still hungry for more.

We all got ready and left for the Pizza Hut where we were to meet up with the whole family to have some tea.

I had loads of cuddles with nearly everyone. Mummy took way too many photographs as usual and here are just a few.

I had my dinner at the same time as everyone else which was really nice. I just had vegetables but I still enjoyed it. The fruit desert was the best thing though.

We were there ages but the time went by really quickly. We arrived home late for my bath time but I still had fun, especially when Mummy pulled the plug out and let me watch all the water run out the bath. I was freezing by the time I was wrapped up in my towels. I say towels, plural, because I lie on one and then one is thrown on top of me. I get all snugly.

Milk feed then bed and I was again, sound asleep before I was even put in my cot.

Jolly Babies Easter Party

During Thursday night, I woke up once and thought I would try my luck at getting some food. I soon realised, when Daddy came in, that I wouldn't be getting any so went back to sleep.

Daddy had the day off so he came swimming with us. It was really good to have him there and I spent most of my time with him.

The pool was quite cool but we still stayed in for about half an hour. Mummy and Auntie Katie were messing around splashing each other and Chloe thought it was very funny. Nanny wasn't too impressed as she wanted to keep her hair dry.

We went home, via the shop, and had a huge lunch. We then just spent the rest of the day at home playing and reading.

Friday night I slept through and woke Mummy at about 6:10am. It is an early start but I do get very hungry.

Mummy said the only thing that woke her up during the night was Daddy saying that he had heard me choking and that he wanted to check on me. Mummy said I would be fine, and she was right.

First thing in the morning we had an Easter party with all our friends from the Jolly Babies group. We all had a great time socialising with each other. We did the usual singing, dancing, clapping and bouncing around, but this time I got to do some with Daddy.

Here are just a few of the pictures and videos taken.

We also got to watch some bubbles. I think this has to be my favourite thing.

At the end Debs gave us all a cuddly toy each.

We had another group photo taken at this party but we didn't have all the Daddies with us today so just had us and the Mummies instead.

Back at home I had loads to eat and then proceeded to have a 2 hour nap.

In the afternoon Mummy was bored so we got wrapped up and went for a walk to the shops.

The weather was freezing. It was really windy and very cold. We even had snow at one point. Mummy put lots of clothes on me and tucked me into my fur foot muff and put the waterproof sheet on the buggy to stop the wind from coming in. I was like a bit of toast.

At the shops, Mummy bought me a box to put all my books in. I have loads now but I really love them. Mummy does too but Daddy has told her not to buy any more books for me. I don't think she will listen to him though as she just can't help it.

When we got back it was pretty much time for dinner. I ate tons and then sat reading books until it was time for my bath and bed. I was so tired that as soon as my head hit my mattress I was sound asleep. I was so tired that I didn't even bother to suck my thumb.
