The boys were quiet downstairs but I needed my bucket of tea so got up to sort breakfast for everyone.
Every morning as I fill the kettle I look at my lovely orchid that sits in the window. Karen bought it for me when we moved into this house just over a year ago. I've never kept an orchid before, but after the flower died last year, I trimmed it and it grew back beautifully again this year. It's the gift that keeps on giving and reminds me of my mate every day. 😊
So today I had the opportunity to prove that I'm not just a fair weather runner. It wasn't exactly tipping it down but I went out and did it. I did a my best pace over 5k so far too which I was quite chuffed with. I really wanted to get under 9 minute miles but I averaged out at 9.04 minutes per mile. I also want to start increasing distance too. I didn't mind a bit of drizzle as it helped to keep me cool.
I also jogged past the murder scene from yesterday. I apologised again to the poor snail but couldn't stop as was trying to up my pace 😂
On my walk home I saw my friend Kelly. We had a little natter over her wall and although it was lovely, I left feeling sad. I appreciated the opportunity and time we had but was just gutted that it wasn't normal. I'm sure that makes sense to most. I'm also so sick of hearing people say soon. Soon is how long? Soon is in a week or so to me, not a couple/few months! Just don't say soon, gets my hopes up too much. Rant over, for now.😄

I ordered all of Leo's birthday presents today, banner, balloons and candle too. Just need to sort a card and work out what we're going to do on the day. Need to come up with some ideas. I don't think I've ever been this organised for his birthday. I was thinking about baking him a cake but I've changed my mind. I'll probably change it back at some point. I've always been indecisive. I think I have anyway 😛
This made me smile today. Ellis begging me for more screen time. The amount of hours these kids have been playing computer games is disgusting! I need to seriously sort it out. Although it's back to school work on Monday anyway.😱
I totally forgot to mention that when I got back from my run at about 12:30pm, Ellis had made everyone their lunch! It was so cute! He wasn't asked, he just sorted it all out. Praised him massively in the hope that this will happen again. 😊. He didn't end up doing dinner in the end but did make a delicious banana loaf instead. 👅
Tomorrow I get to go out out! Not down town with my heels on unfortunately but I managed to get a click and collect at Sainsbury's so will pick that up as well as the paint from B&Q. I am so excited! I get to actually drive a car!
It's only half 11. It's early enough to start a film right? 😈😉
Today I learnt how to line a loaf tin 😲. I'm looking forward to getting out tomorrow and I'm grateful I didn't kill any more snails today. 😅. I wonder what tomorrow with bring.🤔
