Day 27 - Kwik Fit

I managed to get up earlier today and sort breakfast for everyone and Rob was back to work in his little office at the front of the house.

Morning dose of baby for anyone feeling broody 😊 Which is me most of the time.😀

They are both still doing well.  He's lost a bit of weight but that's normal and the midwife is keeping an eye on Kate as she actually lost quite a bit of blood during stage 3 (delivery of the placenta) so she is having to give herself injections at the moment.  I assume something to do with helping her blood but I'm not 100% sure.

I've been going on social media way more than I normally would.  I think lots of other people are too.  There are always lots of tips and ideas of things to do with the kids, with your other half, with your house etc etc and also I've been reminiscing, which I do a lot of anyway, with all the memory pictures that pop up.  The one that came up this morning was 10 years old! I would have sworn it was a couple of years ago at most.  My Mum invited me up for a meal and asked what I wanted.  One of my favourite meals is sausages, Mum's mash, peas and gravy.  Well I went to hers and was presented with this as a meal for one! 😱  And yes, I managed to eat the lot! 😅

😅Not allowed to leave any!

My Loopy Leo has really hurt his knee and was very subdued today.  I was feeling quite flat at one point too so took the opportunity to have a snuggle with him and to watch a film.  Leo chose Moana which was an excellent choice as I love that film.  I love the music, the colours and the story line.  So nice to hide under a blanket for a bit too. 😊

I went out for a run today and it is definitely getting easier.  I'm going to hopefully get out tomorrow too as I've had 2 days off.  I would like to try and go a bit further, maybe at a slower pace.  Just have to see how I feel on the day and not expect too much.  Then I might end up with a Brucie Bonus 😄

A bit of excitement for the day, we had Kwik Fit mobile man come out to put new tyres on my Mum's car.  We noticed they had a flat when they left it here the other day but on inspection, all the tyres were in need of changing.  Rob organised it all and it worked really well.

The boys had way too much screen time today.  I think with Leo out of action they were less inclined to go in the garden and with rain due tomorrow I can see them going out even less!  Doh! Just remembered I've left the washing out.  See, if I wasn't in bed with a laptop all snuggled I would go and get it in, but I am, so it can stay out.😂

At dinner time we played the Cards Against Humanity Family Edition.  It was such a good laugh and the boys really got into it.  Oscar did brilliant reading, Leo loved making up silly sentences and Ellis loved the competitive side.  Rob and I came last as I think we just aren't silly enough.  Think we need to use the butthole cards a bit more 😂

Still feeling a bit flat today, no pun intended.  Hope I don't come down with anything although not sure where I would have caught it from 🤷. Think I just need some decent sleep or to get really drunk and dance it out 💃

Today I have learnt that my netball shooting is improving, as long as I'm not being watched.  I'm looking forward to taking the boys to the theatre, in September, when it will be open again 🙏I'm just grateful to breathe.

Thank you frontline workers for all that you do x 💙x
