Day 17 - Spring Clean

Woke up early but had a better nights sleep.  I didn't get up straight away though, just laid there listening to the silence outside and the boys getting their breakfast downstairs.  They aren't allowed screens until 9am and have to have had their breakfast and cleaned their teeth first.  They always cheat obviously but they get on with it once I'm downstairs.

My usual bucket of tea to start the day 😊

Leo has been a bit off the last couple of days.  I don't medicate him on the weekends so I'm not sure if that's just the reason, or something else.  He usually plays on his iPad or Xbox with the boys but he's been taking himself off to his room for some quiet time.  Then when playing outside with Oscar he's being a bit mean and hurting him, but then other times he plays with his doms, as we call them, and is quite chilled.  I will keep an eye on him.

I did some chores, Facetimed with mother and messaged a few peeps to check-in and see what everyone was planning on doing with their day.   I couldn't decide what I wanted to do.  I had lots of ideas but I chose to sit in the sun for a bit with my book, which I still haven't started.

I managed the first page in about half an hour with a few re-reads and then decided to give up and get busy instead.

I did actually get dressed out of my Christmas pyjamas first 😂

So I Spring cleaned Oscar's room.  I wanted to go through all his clothes too but I ran out of time as it took me so long to clean under his bed and to move it about a little.  He is so good going through his things though and just gets rid of it all!  I end up trying to convince him to keep some 😊  He was also very excited that I'd moved his bed over, bless him.😍

We rent our home and Oscar didn't want us to change his blind.

The Mummy Lot set up an afternoon chat this time so that we could include Sarah who currently lives in Dubai.  It was a bit tricky for me as I had to use the PC in the main area where everyone congregates.  The boys make lots of noise so had to mute my microphone.  Then Rob had gone to Sainsbury's and I knew when he got back he would want to go straight out on a bike ride with Ellis, so left the girls to put the food shop away.  Next week, I'll plan it better.  Also I can't believe it's been a week since last time!

I did some cooking, fed all the boys and finished off Oscar's bedroom before putting the boys to bed.

I did some more chores and eventually sat down with a beer at about 10:30pm.  I don't know where the hours went.

The new season of Killing Eve is coming soon so thought I'd re-watch the last season.  It's such a brilliant series and I love stuff about criminal psychology.   I used to read a lot about the subject and watch documentaries.  I find it interesting to know what makes someone do the things they do and how they work out what they might do next based on their history.

Today I have learnt that it's good for me to be busy, I'm not missing home schooling at the moment and I'm grateful for my boys. 💙

It is now Monday, my Mum's birthday and I know she will be very sad to not see her family today.  I'll have to Facetime her a lot and me and the boys will definitely be singing happy birthday. 😇

I don't want to go to bed.  I'm enjoying Killing Eve.  I don't feel tired either and I could always nap tomorrow 😄  Be back in a few hours 😊
