Day 28 - Adventure

Well I said I wanted to run a bit further, and that I did!  The plan was to run 5k away from the house, turn around and run the 5k back.  Well silly me thought I would try going a slightly different route home.   I finished running 10k and switched my watch off, only to look around and realise I had no idea where I was! 😱  As Rob will attest to, I have the worst sense of direction and can literally end up going totally the opposite way.  Now the smart thing would have been to go back the way I had come but I was sure that I could cut across and down to where I needed to be.  Just a few miles later I realised I still didn't know where I was!  I finally got directions and then later, once I knew my rough location, found a lovely couple to ring home to let Rob know I was safe seeing as I'd been out for nearly 2 hours! 😂😂  I ended up doing a distance of nearly 10 miles taking me 2 hours.😅😅

Leo was still out of action today but I managed to get him into the garden for 5 minutes for some fresh air.  We messed around with Snapchat for a bit before he went back in out of the sun to watch some Netflix.

Oscar and Ellis were banned from screens for various reasons so I said we could play a board game of their choosing.  Ellis selected Cluedo which I haven't played for years!  I think we all enjoyed it and I actually won the first game!  I've never won a game of Cluedo 😂  I don't think it will be long before the boys pick up on how to do it and will be back to thrashing me at everything 😊 Not that I'm competitive 👀😁

Before getting everyone a very late dinner I had a shower and washed my hair.  I think that's the third time since lockdown 😜  I obviously had to do some Snapchat pictures as I very rarely have my hair down.  Big hair, don't care!  Will probably do it some good to not be straightened all the time.  I am looking forward to getting it done properly though.  Should I go pink?

My fav filter at the moment 😊

How could I not post a picture of my new nephew, Jude.  Well that's his name for now as he has had a few over the last few days.  They aren't registering births at the moment so there is plenty of time for her to change her mind.😆

Tonight we went out to clap the frontline workers and all the lovely heroes who are keeping our country running while the rest of us sunbathe, fret about not seeing friends and family, eat, drink too much booze, scream at the kids, trying to work from home, home schooling, doing odd jobs, watching crap on Netflix, the list goes on.  Two of my lovely frontline working friends sent pictures today in my different Whatsapp groups and I wanted to share them.  Can't wait to see you properly.

Love you guys! 💙💙💙👏👏👏

The plan for the evening was to watch the first Indiana Jones film.  The boys weren't overly keen but once I managed to get them all sitting comfortably in front of the TV they loved it!  This did mean a late night for them and an even later night for me 🤷

It's supposed to rain tomorrow, although it was supposed to rain today 🤔  I'm planning on doing the ironing and getting the home schooling stuff ready for next week.  I might do a Joe Wicks work out as well to try and build up some strength, but will have to wait and see what the legs feel like. 😬

I learnt today that I shouldn't go off thinking I know where I'm going, especially without my phone. 😌  I'm missing getting my hair done (it's the only pampering I do) and I am grateful that people in my area are doing the right thing and staying home.  Numbers are low, keep it up everyone! 💪💕
