Day 24 - Easter Sunday

HAPPY EASTER! 

GET IN MY BELLY!

We had to wait for Ellis to get up this morning before we could start the Easter Egg hunt.  I think Leo went to wake him up in the end.  I was so groggy but I knew I had to just get on with it today.

We Face-timed with Nanny to wish her happy Easter and then I received a new picture of my nephew.   A name still hasn't been decided yet and their first night at home went okay if you count being up every 2 hours a good night 😂  I remember the early days with the boys, I literally just slept with my boobs out and rolled over all night feeding on both sides so that I could try and get some rest. 😄

Ellis had expressed an interest in coming for a run with me.  I knew it would be busy on the cycle path this morning so I wanted to get out early but it took me a while to get my arse in gear. (Another late night). We ended up going out at 10 and I was right, it was busy and we zig-zagged between groups of walkers, runners and cyclists.  Ellis managed just fine, talked the whole way round and moaned about sweating but he kept up and did the whole 5k with me.  It was nice to have someone to keep me distracted 😊  I'm actually enjoying my running.  I never, ever thought I would say that!  I am a fair weather runner though so we will see what happens when it starts to change.😊

Today was the day I decided I was going to cut the boys hair.  Ellis was happy to have his shaved all over but we were waiting for a grade 4 comb.  I gave up on waiting and just went for it.  It is rather short for him but his hair grows so fast!

Next up was Oscar and he really didn't want it all shaved off.  I did the sides and took some off the top but he refused to let me cut anymore.  It needs sorting out but it will do for now.  Peaky Blinders anyone?

Nobody wanted any lunch today as they were all still grazing on chocolate.  That suited me! My diet consisted entirely of chocolate and a couple of tomatoes today 😂  Oh and I did have some of this too which I cooked during the afternoon. I took the opportunity to sit and read my book in the garden.   I actually read it this time too.  I'm getting into it now and it's just the sort of thing I like to read, murder, mystery, criminal psychology, pregnant badass detective and twists.😊

Easter, Christmas, Summer and Halloween vibes

I love a Snapchat filter as you probably already know, so I had to have a go with all the new themes today.

The boys had a rather late dinner and I'm sure they will want more before bed tonight but we all sat in the garden together which was nice, less mess to clear up 😉

I must of had fun today as it went so fast!  I've already showered and done the blog before 8pm which must be a record.  Having my video chat with the Mummy Lot shortly and I can't believe that's been another week!  The blog last night was rubbish.  My heart wasn't in it at all.  It was really late, gone midnight and I'd had a couple of beers.  I felt a little deflated by that time.  I do enjoy doing it, but I think on days like yesterday it would have been better to have left it.

Today I learnt that I can't cut the boys hair,  I'm missing doing non essential journeys, I'm grateful that I have a garden and that I don't live in a flat.

Right off to get ready for a chat with the girls. 🍹  Hope you all had a great Easter Sunday. x
