Day 22 - Nephew 3

Is it really day 22 already! Just kidding, it's only day 22! 😂  I went to bed so late last night/this morning!  I was still talking to my sister at 2am. 😏  She has been in hospital waiting for her baby to make an appearance.  He eventually made it into this crazy world at 1:08pm today.  He is super cute and both mother and baby are doing well.   He weighed 7.5lbs and no name yet.

So I now have, 5 nieces and 3 nephews. I'd better start Christmas shopping soon!

It's really sad to not be there.  I've always been around to help out with baby and my other nieces and nephews so it feels rather strange to be just looking at photos.  I might not get to see him for a couple of months yet!  He would have changed so much by then.   It really does feel rather odd.  I'm just really pleased that they are both doing well and should be going home tomorrow. 🤞

Leo and I both do piano lessons with the lovely Anita.  Over the lockdown period she has been encouraging students to send her a video of them playing so that she can post them on her FB page.  Leo was supposed to do one but I couldn't convince him to go through with it, so I reluctantly volunteered to take his place.  This is my effort.

Most of my day has been spent stood up, bending over, looking for Lego pieces.  I thought it would be a great idea to get it all down from the loft and sort it out once and for all.  I wish I had never started it and just left it up there for future grandchildren. 😊

Luckily the boys helped quite a lot but I had to do all the looking and they just sat there shouting at me what they needed.  Leo was the best though.  He just quietly got on with it, no moaning, no asking for anything.   He didn't even eat his lunch until he finished his fire engine.

They were all allowed screens in the afternoon.  I had a quick chat with Saskia in the garden with a cuppa, but the WIFI is pretty poor so we keep cutting in and out.  I also caught up with Kate to see how things were going and did a bit more shooting practice.

So, how did you spend your Good Friday evening?  I'll tell you how I spent mine, drinking beer doing more Lego! 😂  Living the dream 😄

Today I learnt that my great ideas aren't always so great, I am actually missing going food shopping 😱 and I am grateful that Kate and baby are doing well.

Think I'm going to have a lie in tomorrow, Mother will call by 9am though so might need to message her first.  Then I want to sort out the shed and get the garden looking tidy.  I might even cut the grass.   Ellis has said he wants to go for a run tomorrow so I might go out for a jog with him, although I really didn't want to go out this weekend. 🤔

It's only 1am 😄 Goodnight x
