Happy Halloween

Wednesday is when we meet up with the other Mummies and babies and today was no different.

Mum wasn't quite sure on how to get to the venue so we picked up Charlotte and Faith as they knew the way.

I chilled on the play mat while the Mums had tea and cakes.

Charlotte and Faith

I tried to have a push up competition with Iestyn but he was just amazing at it. He is much older than me though so I think I'm still doing quite well.

Iestyn

We popped into Charlotte and Faith's for a another cup of tea and then Mum and I went to the shop to get a battery for the door bell - boring!

We then stopped off at Nan and Granddad Rennolds' house to change my bum and Mum needed to pick something up. I watched Finding Nemo with my Cousin Chloe which was really nice.

After, she held my hand whilst I had my bum changed - that was so nice of her.

We left shortly after and went home to pick up a birthday card that needed to be posted. Mum and I walked down to the post box, looking at all the trees on the way. Mum showed me different plants, bushes, trees and berries. It was really good fun and we even found a lovely golden leaf which Mum let me hold.

As it was Halloween, Mum and Dad wanted to take a themed photo of me. This meant me sitting in a Sainsburys bag, inside a carved out pumpkin, wearing a bib. The leg holes in the pumpkin were too small and it wasn't very comfy but Mum and Dad were quick at taking the photo. Little did I know, but they decided to put me outside on the door step! That was Mummy's idea as you can tell. Lots of people slowed down to take a peek at me looking super cute. The results are below.

I had a nice bath to warm me up and we played games and sang songs until it was time for bed.

Jolly Baby

Today for the first time we went to a music group called Jolly Babies. We arrived a little bit early so Mummy walked around the church graveyard looking at headstones for a while. I enjoyed being out in the open air and just looking around at all the flowers. There were some chickens and sheep in a field next to the church and I watched them for a bit too.

The music group was really good fun. I was the youngest one there but that didn't matter. Mummy threw me around in beat with the music and we all sang along to songs. There was a bit of dancing too and I think Mummy felt a bit shy sometimes. She did come away feeling like she had had a major workout though as she had to lift me up and down and round and round. All that dancing made me sick and then very tired so I slept in the car whilst Mum got some fuel.

We walked down to the doctors so that I could be weighed. 14lb 4oz! I've put on nearly a whole pound in 2 weeks! The health visitor even had the cheek to say that I had a double chin!

After a quick visit to Boots we met Nanny Rennolds for lunch. The restaurant was very busy so we had to wait a while for a table.

I had a quick sleep whilst they ate and chatted about stuff I don't know about yet.

Back at home, Mum gave Nanny some jobs to do, which she didn't seem to mind doing.

I have been trying for a while now to sit up and every time I do I get pushed back down again. Well today I made it and I managed to reach my toes for the very first time and Mummy happened to catch it on film - wow!

Daddy managed to occupy me enough so that I had my bath at 7:00, which to me still feels like 8. Mummy was pleased about this and after a quick feed, I was in bed by 7:30.

Crazy Day

This morning Mummy had to wake me up as we were going to be late for the yoga class. Apparently I slept quite well last night but I don't really know much about that.

The yoga class was good but difficult Mummy said. She was aching before we even left the class and Vivien did say that she worked everyone quite hard. I didn't know much about that either as I was sleeping again.

We rushed over to Ikea to meet up with Charlotte and Faith for lunch. It was so busy that we decided against eating and to just grab some stuff and go somewhere else for food.

Mummy watched Faith and I whilst Charlotte ran around Ikea like a woman possessed grabbing all the items that she new she wanted and then they grabbed a hot dog before heading over to a baby shop to buy me a new sleeping bag.

After this hectic shopping exhibition we went to the pub where we all sat feeding at the same time. It was nice, peaceful and calm until I decided to throw up all over Mummy.

Back at home the man came to fix the heating and Mum spent the next couple of hours trying to keep me awake so that she could give me a bath and put me to bed at a reasonable time. Well I actually ended up going to bed early. I hope I sleep well again tonight.

Dinner for 11

On Friday we didn't do very much except a first aid course. I just sat there and watched Mum and Dad doing things to this very strange looking baby.

In the evening, before my bath, I tried to do my push ups again, much to Mum and Dad's delight.

On Saturday we spent most of the day with Nanny and Granddad Rennolds. Mum and Dad were busy doing computer stuff so Nanny fed me my lunch whilst Granddad looked on. It was very nice.

Cousins Kamron and Chloe came over and I got to play with my buddy. I can't wait until I'm a bit older so that I can crawl around with him.

On Sunday we went to see Uncle Craig, Auntie Karen and Cousin Charley for lunch. Auntie Karen had cooked a huge amount of food and Mum even had seconds. I sat in my seat watching on intently.

This is my family at the table all full from eating so much food.

After dinner I had a quick nap before sitting down and watching a film whilst having some nice cuddles.

Back at home, I had a late bath as the clocks have gone back and Mum is trying to change my body clock. I was so tired by the time I went to bed that I could hardly eat, which is not like me.

Long Walk

Today we visited my friend Ria and her mother Jaimie. Ria was due to arrive one week before me but was actually 3 weeks early, so she ended up being a lot older than me as I was 6 days late as well. I am already bigger than her though!

Ria let me play in her round thing which had bright colours on it and Mummy just had a cup of tea and a chat.

We popped into Nan and Granddad Rennolds' house for lunch and I stared at Kamron whilst he was sucking on his bread and butter.

Auntie Katie held me up in front of the mirror and I thought I looked so funny in this silly hat. Mummy loves it though and says I'm going to be wearing it all the time, God help me!

After lunch we picked up Tyler, Auntie Katie's dog and went for a very long walk around the fields and in the woods. It was very cold but I wrapped up nice and warm and had a snooze whilst Mum did all the hard work.

Nanny Rennolds threw the stick for Tyler and he seemed to love just running back and forth. I can't see the fun in it myself.

Back at home, we all sat around the table having dinner which was really nice and then Mum and Dad bathed me. Whilst I was being dried Daddy and I had a quick game of peek-a-boo which I think is so funny. I can't wait to play again but I was really tired and it wasn't long before I was tucked up in bed.

Mothers Meeting

Well, today was hectic. Daddy woke me up early by accident because the hinge on the wardrobe squeaked. Mummy tried to get me to go back to sleep, but my nappy had leaked and I was all wet so I didn't want to sleep, I just wanted new clothes.

Again I took the bottle feeding into my own hands which Mum praised me for so I must be doing something right.

I had another go on my mat today but this time I had lights and music. It kept me occupied for all of 2 minutes.

At about 10:30 all my friends that I have met in my ante natal and post natal groups turned up. We had tea, coffee, biscuits and of course lots of milk. Mummy took some fun pictures of us lounging around and some of us holding hands!

Iestyn, me and Toby

Anna and Iestyn holding hands - ooh er mrs!

Me, Toby and Sophie

Clockwise, starting with me of course, there is me, Faith, Iestyn, Anna, Sophie and Toby.

Charlotte and Faith stayed for lunch and then we all walked down to the shops to get some eye drops for me as I have an eye infection. Mummy carried me in the sling and put my new hat on. I love it!

In the evening Daddy went to give blood and didn't get back in time to have his pizza hot, plus I was getting moody as I wanted my bath and bed so he had to eat it whilst standing up in the kitchen helping Mummy. Oh dear better luck tomorrow.

I was put in a new baby grow today which is way too big but I have grown out of my other ones. I will grow into it I'm sure. I also have a different sleeping bag too. Picture to follow.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Nanny George

Today we were running late for our visit with Nanny George. Mummy had forgotten that I had woken at 5:30 for a feed and not 6:30 so couldn't work out why I was screaming at her first thing in the morning. She soon worked it out and so after my late breakfast we arrived at Nanny and Grandad George's house.

I gave Nanny and Grandad loads of smiles and had nice cuddles whilst watching Mummy play on the Play Station.

We popped some stuff back to the shops and then headed to Nanny and Grandad Rennolds' house.

Grandad wasn't happy about having his photo taken with me as he hadn't done his hair but I think his hair looks as good as mine. Mummy took the photo anyway and after some quick cuddles with Grandad and Great Uncle Roger we headed back home.

At home I slept after having loads of food and Mum pottered about the house.

Talking of food, today Mum didn't give me that stuff that makes me burp after a feed and I had a bad tummy all afternoon. I paid her back by over filling my nappy into my trousers. I don't think she will be doing that again too soon.

Mummy finally got the missing piece of my mat, the music machine. I watched the lights and listened to the music. It's really good!

I sat with Mum and Dad whilst they had their dinner which was good fun as Mum lets me smell all the different food. I didn't like cucumber or pepper much though.

Mum tried to take some nice pictures of the 3 of us but Daddy kept messing around.

After dinner Mum bathed me and put me to bed as Daddy went out to play pool with Uncle Dave.

I was in bed by 7:45 which is nice for Mum as she gets a bit of time by herself.

Yoga

I am still having troubles with my breathing at night so this morning Mummy tried to prop me up on Daddy's pillow to see if it would help. It probably would have done if Mum had done it properly.

We were up and out early today to get to our new yoga class which starts at 10. Well we were there very early so Mum fed me in the car, and then I puked on myself before we went into the house.

It was so nice to see Vivien again and she gave me a kiss and cuddles. Mum said it was very strange to be there with me and not just a big bump, but I think she still has one anyway.

Yoga went really well but it was really hard work and Mummy struggled at times. I'm not surprised though as she hasn't done any exercise since about April time. I tried to support her and to do my best so as not to show her up.

Next stop was lunch with my girlfriend. We gazed into each others eyes and had a press up competition which Faith won hands down!

Back at home I sat reading my book whilst Mum cooked dinner for Daddy, who again had arrived home early. I love it when that happens!

After dinner I was amazed to see this good looking chap staring at me. I was having a lovely chat with him until Mummy pointed out that it was me!

The weirdest thing happened before bed time, Mum fed me with a bottle! That's Daddy's job and I just couldn't understand.

I took the situation into my own hands though, literally, and Mummy thought I was very clever.

I was in bed by 7:30 as I was just so tired from all the yoga and fluttering of the eyes with Faith but I enjoyed every minute. Bring on tomorrow.

Busy Weekend

Well what a weekend. You will never guess who I met. Would you believe it but Bob the builder was at Mothercare! Well I couldn't miss up this chance to have a picture taken with him so Mummy plucked up the courage to ask him.

After this amazing event we just went around a couple of shops. Mum replaced my mat and even bought me some new clothes as I am growing so fast. It isn't my fat belly though as I don't want to take after Daddy too much.

Back at home me and Mummy watched the rugby together.

I had a present this weekend of a new rattle which I love. We have named him Burt and I laugh at his big eyes. I'm still getting used to holding things but I'm sure I will get there in the next couple of weeks. I'll keep you updated of course.

On Sunday we met up with some friends for lunch as it was Tilly's birthday. Mummy wrapped me up nice and warm.

I had a really nice time watching everyone chat and I had nice cuddles too. It was very hot in the pub so Mum stripped me off. I was so embarrased that my cheeks went red just like Daddy.

There was also some other good news in that I will soon be having a new play mate. Wayne and Nic are going to be having a baby in May 2008. I can't wait! Mum is sure it will be a girl but I hope it is a boy so that we can share toys and stuff. Mum is really excited and I heard her saying that she can't wait to be pregnant again! I hope she waits a while as I love having her all to myself.

Back at home I was again in front of the telly but this time with Daddy watching the Grand Prix.

We had such a busy time this weekend that I was left feeling exhausted and ready for my bed. Daddy gave me a bath and put me in my pyjamas .

I'm sure Mummy has tons planned for us for the next week so I best get as much rest as possible - that's Mummy's wishful thinking ;o)
