We arrived and lined up to get our welcome pack and key to the lodge before parking up, grabbing our swimming gear and heading for the swimming.
We were all hungry though, especially Oscar, so we eventually found somewhere to sit and eat our packed lunch. The older boys got bored of waiting for Oscar to finish so they went off to explore and I managed to video them a little looking at some fish.
We then all headed straight for the pool where we had an amazing time.
The swimming was really good. Oscar loved having a kick about and the older boys were soon using the slides and having a fab time. Ellis did really well with getting water into his face and I was sure that it would slowly build up his confidence. Leo just loved it from the start!
The most stressful thing was the changing rooms. The family changing is adequate enough but it was hard going and the boys were not helpful one bit. Lots of screaming and telling off before we packed up the buggy to walk to the lodge.
I walked, Rob and Ellis went in the car.
Leo was fast asleep by the time we got to the lodge so we had a quick look around in peace.
In the evening we thought we would eat out. A bit adventurous really as the boys were tired already but we were on holiday so wanted to make the most of it.
We walked down to the restaurants and we were told that as we hadn't booked in advance that we would have to wait 45 minutes! Well about 30 minutes later we found a pizza place that had a table free. I made a note to myself about booking tables for next year.
Well it was hard work and the kids hardly ate anything and just messed around. We returned to the lodge feeling rather exhausted.
The boys went to bed okay but were so excited/over tired that they didn't end up going to sleep until 9:45pm and Oscar much later. Luckily we had living room space to do what we wanted but we didn't stay up too late as we knew it was going to be a hectic few days.
