I got the boys up and fed, then stripped all the beds and put new covers on, then bathed all 3 babas. They thought it was very strange but it was so nice to have them squeaky clean and ready for the day.
Oscar had a little nap before lunch.
In the afternoon we went to the big shops to meet up with Auntie Katie and Nanny Rennolds to do a bit of shopping. I really needed a new swimming costume for our holiday as the maternity costume is a bit too big.
We were stuck in traffic for ages but so was Katie and Mum so we arrived at the same time. Kate had an eye appointment so Mum and I went shopping while she was having that done. I managed to get 2 great costumes which I love and should still fit once I've lost the baby weight.
The kids got quite bored so we ended up letting them go in the soft play for half an hour. Leo loved it and didn't want to come out!
Time was getting on, Oscar needed a feed and the boys needed dinner but Mum and Kate were leaving so I couldn't sit somewhere on my own to feed and occupy the boys at the same time, unless Leo, at least, was strapped in. So in my wisdom I decided to go to Pizza Hut so the boys could eat and I could feed. Really bad decision. Luckily the waitress was so nice and helpful. She got them their salads from the salad bar and tried to get them interested in colouring. She watched Leo for me when I took Ellis to the toilet and she didn't mind all the mess that was made. Drink, food, crayons, napkins and paper were all over the floor. A very stressful visit, Leo ate nothing and picked from his plate.
I couldn't wait to leave and we arrived home by 6pm.
I then bathed all 3 again as they had got quite sweaty at the soft play place and I didn't want them getting into their clean beds like it. I'm funny like that.
The following morning I took some pictures of Oscar as he was 12 weeks old.
This is Leo.
This is Ellis at the same age.
I took some more pictures of Oscar in the play room where the light is better but it always makes him sneeze!
Leo wanted to get in on the action which he doesn't normally do.
For the afternoon we had been invited to Tilly and Simon's house for a BBQ. I thought it would be a nice idea to walk to their house, which was quite a way away. Leo walked the entire way! I couldn't believe it.
We had a lovely time, eating, playing, drinking and chatting in the garden. We didn't leave until quite late and we had to walk home so we didn't get back until nearly 7pm. Leo went straight to bed and Ellis had a shower with Daddy before he went to bed too.
The next day I spent pretty much the entire day trying to sort out the packing for our first holiday away as a family of 5. I was really looking forward to it but not sure what to expect. I wanted to leave as early as possible in the morning so I made sure everything was ready to go by the front door and that things that weren't packed yet were on a list ready for me to quickly tick off in the morning. I have to work to a list or it would all go terribly wrong.
