Bath & West Show

I wasn't quite sure if I was going to pack the kids up and take them to a country show that my Mum and Sister were going to. But then having thought about just going to Ellis' swimming lesson, and that being it for the day, I decided we would all have a better time at the show.

Ellis tried to help me getting all the stuff ready which was great, but he managed to do this too.

The traffic getting to the show was really really bad. Mum and Kate were just ahead of us so I kept calling them to find out how the traffic was etc. The boys weren't too bad. I had to have Sing and Sign on repeat in the car and Oscar cried a little but I could smell why! I wasn't looking forward to seeing the carnage in the car park.

Eventually we arrived and I called to find out where Mum and Kate were parked as there was just so many people there. Amazingly I ended up parking, near enough, right behind them!

Mum came over to help me get the kids and buggy out and then we found the mess in Oscar's car seat. Bless him he was covered, all up the back and out the sides. It was everywhere, and he was in a brand new outfit! We cleaned him up, changed him and Leo and then managed to set off for the ticket gate.

It didn't take long to get in and the fun began.

We sat in the shade of a tree to have our picnic and so that I could feed Oscar. It was so hot!

It was dinner and a show!

We then walked about looking at the animals.

You would not believe the size of this rabbit!

I had to sit and feed Oscar, so I sat on the grass with the crowds passing by and Mum and Kate walked around the sheep pens.

It took a while to finish off Oscar's feed so Mum and Kate tried to keep the kids busy before we piled on the train.

We did some more walking around looking at things. It was so hot and I really should have bought this hat but didn't in the end as didn't think I would wear it again.

I had to give Oscar another feed so we sat at a cafe and ate cake, drank diet coke and watched a horse event.

I took ages and the kids were getting bored so Kate and Mum took the gang to the fun fair for a few rides.

I got there as quick as I could but missed Ellis going on the big wheel.

I made Leo have a go on a ride with me. He didn't mind once on it.

More animals. This time the kids ran off in to the enclosure to stroke some dogs.

We did think about eating dinner before hitting the road to get home but everything was shut! We managed to get some food in the kids as I knew they would go to sleep on the way home. I really did want to bath them when I got back as they were disgustingly dirty but I knew it would have to wait.

It took 2 hours to get home! Oscar wasn't happy for a lot of it but finally went to sleep.

At home I tried to transfer the little muckers to bed but Ellis woke up and just wouldn't go back to sleep. He was still awake at 10:30pm! Oscar on the other hand had a feed and went straight back to sleep. Leo was no trouble either.

I couldn't wait to get them clean in the morning though.
