Sand

Carrying on the red theme, the next day I got out this lovely Ted Baker red coat that Huw & Nicky bought for Oscar. It was slightly too big but it was lush!

First thing in the morning Rob took the car to the garage to have a scratch spray painted and I watched Toy Story 3 with the boys.

In the afternoon we were due to go to Blaise Castle for Ella's birthday party but because of really wet weather the venue changed to her house.

We had a lovely time at the party. The boys took part in the games and played with different toys and new friends. We ate some scrummy food, had a good chat and laugh.

I don't know if you noticed in the above pictures, but I'm sat with Tilly's, Noah, and Tilly has Leo and Ellis.

Oscar sat in his car seat under the table for most of the party but did come out for a few cuddles and a feed just before we left.

Just before we were packing up to leave, we heard Leo screaming in the hall way. We went out to find that he had trapped his finger in the front door. In a way it was a good thing as he could of actually been outside the house running off rather than coming to us with a poor finger. It had a big dent in it, was already bruised and swollen. We tried to put some ice on it and I ran it under the cold tap for a bit. It looked really squashed but not enough to break skin. We just didn't know if the bone was okay but after some ice cream and a drink he was fine.

Wayne took some pictures at the party too. You can see them here.

On the way back we went into the car wash. The height restriction is lower than the height of our car so we had to lower the suspension to go in. I didn't like it very much.

Back at home I messed around with that macro mode on my small camera.

Sunday 29th, Leo's finger was still looking rather nasty so I asked Rob to take him to the local small accident centre.

Before they left we had breakfast and cuddles, and we were trying to get Leo to use his finger without being in pain. You can't really tell in this picture how swollen and purple it was but it is the ring finger on his right hand.

At the accident centre Leo had his first x-ray. Rob said the picture was amazing and thankfully there was no fracture. They strapped him up and sent him home.

It was good timing too as we had family and a couple of friends over in the afternoon for a BBQ.

I had bought a cake for Leo so we all sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the candle really well.

More playing and eating before everyone left at 6:30pm.

We bathed all 3 boys and tucked them into bed. Not Oscar of course but 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Then it was time for clearing up. The place was a mess. In the play room, which lead out to the garden, I had lifted up the rug so that didn't get ruined but the floor got really dirty. Dirt wasn't the problem really, it was the sand. The boys have a water and sand table and I had it right outside the back door. It was quite windy during the day and plus the kids were playing with it then coming in the house so it was everywhere! I mean everywhere! The kitchen window had been open too such it just blew in and around.

I had to sort the play room out as a minimum before going to bed as the boys would need to go in there the next day. I had to vacuum every toy, box, inch of floor, shelf, light and window. It took me 3 hours and I finished at midnight!

This is what Rob did to help.

Not impressed.
