Reminiscing

I was up nice and early at 6:30 and after my milk feed, Mummy and I messed around for a bit before going downstairs and playing there too.

Mummy and I have so much fun. I get really sad when she puts me down or leaves the room at the moment. I also give her loads of nice cuddles. I think she is making the most of it as she has said she doesn't think it will last.

After my morning nap we went over to see Nic who is due to pop in 4 weeks. Mummy was jealous of her bump and they spent most of the time chatting about babies and how great we are etc etc - stuff I already know.

We had a look at the nursery and I had my lunch sat on the table in a Bumbo. I really enjoyed that as I got to have a good look around. Nic fed me my desert which made a nice change from Mummy doing it.

I also got to play with Jasper, their dog. He was really good fun and I touched his nose loads of times. I'm not sure if he liked it or not but I certainly did.

Of course I had cuddles too but Nic is lacking in the lap department at the moment.

Not long after lunch it was time for my afternoon nap so we had to go home. Mummy was talking really loud to me all the way home.

I was just falling asleep when we pulled into the drive. I made it to my bed though and was soon fast asleep in comfort.

Mummy was nostalgic all day after reminiscing with Nic about the early days of having a baby and stuff. Here are some old pictures, for old times sake.

I had a really long nap and woke up at 3:15pm, had my milk and then played in my door bouncer until Daddy came home. He came early which was really good.

We all sat around the table and had dinner together and then Daddy was really tired so he went to sleep on the sofa while Mummy typed up the blog and entertained me.

It was then time for bath and bed and Mummy went out to line dancing.

Nasty Nashers

Still not really feeling like my old self. These horrible teeth are making me very grumpy. Mummy is doing her best to cheer me up but at 3:45am I woke up screaming.

I went back to sleep on my own and we got up at 6:30am.

The morning seemed to drag but I was soon back in bed for a nap before going to Jolly Babies.

I didn't really enjoy myself as much as I usually do and back at home I had my lunch before going back to bed.

Mummy had to wake me up to go around Sharon and Sophie's house for Mummies afternoon.

We arrived a little later than normal and it took me a couple of minutes to wake up. Once I had, I was feeling a bit better so had a really good time playing with all of Sophie's toys.

Iestyn was really funny. He was laughing in Mummy's face and then wiping all his snot on her. They were both having a good laugh about it.

Faith was unwell so she didn't make it this week. We all send our love and hope that she feels better soon.

We didn't leave for ages and when we did, it was raining. Mummy put my hood up and we got in the car very quickly.

At home my happy mood continued and I happily played on my mat until dinner was ready. I sat at the table with Mummy to eat my food, which I love doing.

Daddy came home and gave me my bath and then I had some milk before going to bed.

For some reason I couldn't settle, so I played with my teddies for ages. Mummy came in about an hour after I had gone to bed and moved me back into my proper position for the night, or so she hopes.

Grumps

Sing and sign was good this week although I wasn't as interested as last week. I was feeling very hot and tired and I tried very hard to get onto Mummy's lap the whole time.

Mummy thinks that I have 2 teeth pushing on the gums on the top, and one starting to poke through on the bottom. That would explain the red cheeks and the fact that I was so grumpy.

Instead of going for a cuppa with Charlotte and Faith, Mummy decided to take me home so that I could have some water, a snack and some Calpol. It seemed to do the trick for a while but after my lunch I was a bit grizzly so Mummy put me to bed.

I went to sleep at 12:30 and I hadn't woken by 2:45 so Mummy decided to come and wake me up. I was not happy about that at all, and I made it known.

I cheered up when I had milk and afterwards we got straight in the car and went to Sainsburys to do a rather big food shop. We were only supposed to be picking up a few items but we had a whole trolley full.

We bumped into Sally and Anna and had a quick chat before going home.

Mummy put all the shopping away and I played with my toys but I still wasn't in the best of spirits. Mummy tried to play with me but after about 10 minutes she went rather quiet. I think she almost fell asleep on the floor next to me.

Dinner was good fun as Mummy was messing around making crazy noises and flopping her hair all over the place. I find that so funny.

Daddy came home and I sat up to the table with them while they had their dinner.

Daddy tried to read to me for a bit but I was starting to get grumpy again.

I was put in the bath early and was in bed by 6:50 which I think is my earliest bed time yet. I was quite restless for a while but was asleep by the time Mummy was writing this in bed at 8:30pm.

Big Park

Daddy's car broke down while I was asleep so he had to take our car to work. This meant that we were stuck at home for the day.

We didn't have anything planned so we just stayed at home and then went for a walk to the park in the afternoon. We tried to call Sally and Anna but Mummy's phone wasn't working again.

Friday we went swimming and Jaimie and Ria were there too. The pool was nice and warm and we didn't get out for ages.

We went home for lunch and then we drove to Twinkling Stars. Nanny Rennolds ever so kindly let us borrow her car so that we could get around. I was really happy with that because I got to sit in the front with Mummy.

Twinkling Stars was the same as always apart from the fact that Iestyn and Sophie were missing.

Granddad George is home and recovering well, so on Saturday we went to visit him. We stayed for quite a while and I had my lunch and loads of nice cuddles. I didn't get to see the fish this time as the light was off in the tank.

In the afternoon Mummy and I went up to Nanny and Granddad Rennolds' fields where we had a lovely walk among the trees. Mummy also sat me in the middle of a field surrounded by dandelions. I had loads of fun but the tickly grass made me shiver. Unfortunately Mummy had forgotten her camera so we are going to go there again soon to get some pictures.

I also met a horse for the very first time. His name is Boy and he is huge! He was really nice to me but I'm not sure about him yet. I will have to meet him a few times I think.

Granddad was there moving the muck heap so we said a quick hello before going to see Nanny Rennolds and Auntie Katie.

I played in the walker while Mummy had a drink in the garden and then we went home to see Daddy.

On Sunday we met up with Nanny and Granddad Rennolds, Auntie Katie and her gang and Uncle Craig and his gang. We all went to a pub for some lunch which was really nice. I was head of the table in my highchair.

We went for a walk along a canal before getting back in the car and going to a huge park!

I had an amazing time. I went in a funny swing which was basically an arm chair attached to a pole with chains. Uncle Craig wanted to push me really high but Mummy wouldn't let him. He was really good and just pushed me gently for now. Don't worry Uncle Craig, next time, when Mummy isn't watching, we can go really high and fast.

I also had a a ride on Uncle Craig's shoulders and Charley joined in the fun too.

There was a bouncy castle and a merry-go-round but I am too small for that yet. Chloe, Charley and Kamron had a good time though.

We had a lovely walk through a botanical garden and I really enjoyed looking at all the different plants and trees. I also saw a duck pond with loads of ducks. We forgot our bread for them though.

Everyone seemed to have a really good time.

Kamron is 9 months older than me

We dropped Nanny and Granddad off home just as it poured down with rain. Mummy and I were nice and dry but Granddad had to go in the house to get an umbrella so that Nanny could get out of the car. The wind made the brolly go inside out and Granddad couldn't turn it back again. It was so funny to watch as he was getting wetter and wetter and Nanny didn't want to get out of the car.

We arrived home and Mummy sat and wrote the blog while Daddy played with me and fed me my dinner.

I then had reading time with Daddy before he bathed me and Mummy gave me some milk. I was sound asleep within 5 minutes and Mummy couldn't wake me up for a kiss. Sorry Mummy.

Sing, Sign, Shorts, Sandals, Sun, Shops, Spiky, Sitter, Sick, Swing, Sally's, Surprise

During the week we had some bad news about Granddad George who was taken to hospital. Mummy and I just want to say that we love you and hope you get better soon. We will keep you updated.

Sing and Sign was okay. We didn't really know what we were doing but I had fun watching everyone else. Mummy was given homework too which was funny. Basically, you just sit in a circle singing songs and doing the hand signals that go with some of the words. I think Mummy felt a bit silly to start with but soon got in to it.

Faith was there but she wasn't very well at all. She just laid on her Daddy's lap watching quietly, which isn't like Faith at all. We hope she feels better soon.

We did a quick shop in Sainsburys before going home.

Tuesday morning and it was 7:40 before Mummy woke up and came in to get me. Mummy used to set her alarm but since I've been waking up at 6:30 she hasn't been bothering.

Jolly Babies was very interesting. All the babies are now growing up so we were all on the move around the hall and chatting all the time. It was really good fun though.

We went home for lunch and after a quick nap we walked around to Sally and Anna's house. It was nice and warm outside so Mummy took the cover of my foot muff off which was really nice.

We had a lovely afternoon just playing and chatting and back at home the fun continued. Mummy read to me and we played stacking cups.

After my bath Mummy decided to spike my hair up even more! The thing was, was that she forgot to flatten it again before putting me to bed. The results in the morning are as follows.

Try as she might, Mummy couldn't flatten it again, so she didn't bother.

It was really hot so Mummy decided to put me in shorts for the very first time. Either they were very long shorts or I have very short legs.

Nanny came over for a surprise visit which was really nice. She also bought me a present, a book. It is really good. It is about the farm and has touchy feely bits, moving bits and flaps for lifting.

The afternoon was quite boring so we went out to grab a few bits and on the way home we had a quick stop in the park. I am starting to love that place. As you can see I am a big boy now and I got to wear my new sandals which have a light on them that flashes everytime I hit them. Very cool.

At home I quickly became bored again but managed to spend my time, playing on my own in the corner of the room. Little did I know but Mummy crept up on me with the camera.

After my bath and while I was having my final feed, Charlotte, Faith's Mummy arrived! How very strange I thought. Then when I was in bed I heard the front door close and the car start and realised that Mummy was going out to her line dancing class. I'm a pretty smart 8 1/2 month old see. So I concluded that Charlotte was baby sitting. Yay!

Zzzzz

No swimming for me as I still have a bad cold. I didn't mind as Mummy and I still had lots of fun.

Friday afternoon was Twinkling Stars. Sophie and Sharon couldn't make it as Sophie wasn't well but the rest of the gang were there. Faith even had her Nanny and Granddad with her.

Saturday morning was Daddy's turn to get up with me. I don't think I slept very well though because by the time breakfast was served, I was ready to go back to bed.

In the afternoon Mummy was bored so we went up to Nanny and Granddad Rennolds' house.

While Mummy had a cuppa tea and a couple of biscuits, I got to use the walker which was excellent fun. I have sort of worked out how to move. I can go forward by pushing with both of my feet at the same time.

We arrived home and went straight upstairs for my bath.

Sunday was a very relaxing day. I spent my time playing and chilling out with Daddy, who was very tired because he stayed up to watch the boxing last night.

Not much really happened this weekend, I hope we do something exciting as a family next week.

I start my sing and sign class tomorrow morning, that's if Mummy can get me out of bed. I have been going back to bed at about 9:15am and not waking up until about 11:15am. I then have another hour in the afternoon. I think Mummy wishes I would just wake up at 8:30am rather that 6:30am.

Guests

I was still feeling rather unwell on Wednesday morning and after I struggled to eat a bit of breakfast, I fell asleep on Mummy. I haven't done that since I was ill at Christmas.

After my nap in the morning we went out to the shops. Mummy bought me lots of nice things; a rail of toys for in the bath, a catcher bib, a sun hat, a new book, some trainer socks, 2 pairs of shorts from NEXT, nappies, wipes and some funny cube things.

We were out for ages and got home late for my lunch. It didn't really matter as my appetite isn't as good as normal.

On Thursday we had a really busy day. I still wasn't feeling too great so our friends Linda, Matthew and Jack come to our house for a visit, rather than meet at the park which was the original plan.

Nanny and Kamron also popped over to see us which was really nice. The house was full of little boys running around and playing with all my toys. I'm a bit smaller then the rest of them so Mummy kept me on her lap or on the sofa.

Kamron seemed to have a nice time but obviously got very tired as he decided to use my chair to chill out.

After we had all eaten we walked down to the local park for some time on the swings again. We all had a really good time on the swings.

The bigger boys, Matthew and Kamron were able to go on the slide, and Kamron even decided to go down head first!

Jack and I were just quite happy gently swinging away.

Nanny left just before us but we went home so that Mummy and Linda could have some lunch.

We had a couple of hours to clear up and just relax before our next set of guests arrived.

Adam and Annette came to visit us for the first time. Mummy and Daddy met them when they were travelling and had a near death experience on Friday 13th January 2006. You can read the story by clicking on the link below.

They kindly brought me a present but it was exactly the same bar of toys for the bath that Mummy had bought the previous day! Never mind, we are going to replace it with a shower toy for the bath instead.

Adam and Daddy had fun trying to put my trousers on. Mummy and Annette just laughed about the fact that it took the two of them to do it.

I had lots of nice cuddles and played with them until I was sound asleep from my last feed.

They were chatting for ages and had a Chinese meal before saying goodbye and going straight to bed.
