The following morning the boys woke up quite early. Leo had woken up during the night and I had brought him in with us. The van was freezing! Leo was a block of ice and soon Ellis came wandering in complaining that his feet were cold. He was blue! We all snuggled in bed for a bit with the heating on before getting up for breakfast together.
Leo had a little nap after breakfast and Ellis and I chilled out in front of the telly.
We met Lucy and the rest of the gang at 10am to go swimming. Obviously I couldn't take any pictures in there but we all had a really nice time. Leo was all smiles and Ellis went down a little slide on his own. He went under the water though so didn't want to go on it again.
On the way back to the van to have lunch Ellis had a ride in a play bus. He loved it and a little boy jumped into the back seat so he had a passenger too.
After lunch we walked down to the beach. Rob had been for a run in the morning so had an idea of where would be a good place to sit.
Lucy and her family had arrived a bit before us as we had trouble getting Ellis dressed and out of the van. He walked all the way and Leo had a sleep in the buggy.
The Challis family kindly let us borrow their tent which the four adults put up. We then sent the Dad's off for the first ice cream of the day.
There was a bit of playing around and sand castle making.
Then Lucy, Ashlee, Ellis and I took a walk down to the sea which was quite a long way from where we were sat. On the way there was a bit of a stream which we had to cross. The kids were bare foot but Lucy and I had socks and shoes one. Lucy's shoe even had a hole in it! It was quite funny getting across.
We finally reached the sea and the kids had a little paddle. Ellis is still unsure of the sea and wouldn't really go in it for long and started to walk off back up the beach.
On the way back we looked at lots of different crabs, star fish and shells left on the beach. It was really good fun.
More play time and another ice cream and it was soon time to go back to the van for a shower.
On the walk back Ellis asked to be carried and he soon fell asleep on Rob's shoulder.
Back at the van Ellis napped while Rob and I took it in turns showering and cleaning Leo.
I then had to wake Ellis up and chuck him in the shower. He wasn't pleased about it at all but I did it as quickly as I could.
We all met up for food in the restaurant but Ellis wasn't really up for eating and Leo wanted his bottle so it was a bit hectic. The kids had a quick play in the park and then we made it into the Show Dome for another evening of dancing, singing and having fun.
Ellis was still a little bit nervous about the characters so Craig kindly took him up close to see them and he seemed to like it. I don't blame him as I hate dressed up people. It just freaks me out for some reason. I'm sure I will be fine when we have our first holiday to Disney.
We had a really good night. Leo fell asleep on Rob so was put down in his buggy and Ellis had fun dancing. On the way back to the van he had a go in a truck that he had been going on and on about.
Ellis and Leo were very good at going to bed and this time I had wrapped them up really warm and put Leo in a thicker sleeping bag.
