New Sofas

Wednesday 30th was a good day. We all took Ellis to school in the morning and then like the week before (something I forgot to mention) I went with Naomi and baby Harri to the local coffee shop to meet up with some antenatal Mums. It was so nice to just be out with Oscar having a drink and chatting to other adults.

I put Oscar in an outfit that day.

From the coffee shop I met Rob and Leo at the village hall for Leo's music class which went well.

Then we chilled out at home before Mum arrived with Ellis.

Mum then took Ellis to his music class while Rob and I did the food shopping. We met up with Mum and Ellis after in the cafe for a drink and chat before going are separate ways.

That evening Rob and his brother went to Ikea and picked up some new sofas for us. They had to do 2 trips but it really didn't take them too long. I agreed to buying some leather sofas as long as I could keep one of the fabric ones too as I really don't like leather for various reasons.

Blogging is really bugging me at the moment. I'm so far behind it's scary but I'm writing this from very limited notes, no memory of it and I can't stand it! I can't remember what I was thinking, or how things were really going with a newborn etc and that bothers me as this is supposed to be like a diary for me to look back on. Bit annoyed but all I can do is do my best to get caught up and then stay that way with regular little blogs. I'm writing this on the 4th May! I'll get there.

Big Boys Bath

The morning of the 26th was spent relaxing around the house and just getting used to being more of us!

In the afternoon Mum came over and we walked to Ellis' school as the church that they use was having a fete. It wasn't what I expected so after a quick cuppa we left for the park instead.

It was a lot of walking for me and by the time I got home I was shattered and looking rather pale again.

Once the older boys were in bed I chilled out with my baby.

We stayed in all day on Sunday 27th with one visitor, Charlotte who brought round a further present for Oscar, which was a hand made blanket with an O on it, some clouds and some aeroplanes. Thanks Lotty x

I dragged the gang to Ikea on the Monday. Ellis had been at school all day so was a bit tired and Leo wasn't a happy bunny about being in the buggy but the shop was quiet and we managed to grab some food too so when we got home we only had to do bath and bed.

Ellis sat on the front of the buggy so all 3 were on there at one time. Rob still wasn't impressed though as Leo wouldn't stop screaming and not long after Oscar started off too.

We had a surprise visit the following day. We were just sat around feeling sorry for ourselves when Mum showed up. She pretty much did our ironing, had some cuddles and left. Cheers are Mu!

In the afternoon we went out to get the boys feet measured as I like to make sure they are still wearing the correct sized shoes. Leo had gone up to 7 F which is what he was wearing anyway (Ellis' old shoes) and Ellis was now a 10 F but could get away with his 9 1/2 G shoes for a little longer.

Back at home Oscar had his first big bath with his brothers. It was so lush to finally see them altogether in the bath as we had talked about it happening loads before he had arrived.

Loving my bigger family. Just wish I could feel better with more energy. It will come with time I know.

Pillows

Need to do some major catching up so will have to keep it short. Basically the early days, the first 4 weeks were spent at home and venturing out for a few things. It was tough going as everyone was ill at one time or another and I was struggling to recover, especially as my iron levels were low which made me very tired on top of being tired because of taking care of everyone.

Rob was good in the mornings getting up with the older 2 so that I could feed in bed or just get a bit more sleep.

Rob was struggling quite a bit and spent a lot of time napping on the sofa.

Even Ellis after a long day at school followed by play time in the garden was struggling to stay awake.

On the 22nd we had a lovely lie in as no one woke up until around 8am which was fantastic. Again I spent the day at home just chilling out, pottering, feeding and bonding with baby.

Ellis took some pictures.

In the afternoon Shazza came over for a visit and Rob took the boys out to the shops and park. Leo and Ellis love going to the park.

I had a lovely time chatting with Shazza and she stayed for a nice long time. I was a bit emotional as I had been really struggling but couldn't really complain as Rob was unwell and struggling too. The timing of it all was so bad!

The following day we all walked Ellis to school. I had Leo in the buggy and Oscar in the sling with his snow suit on that I bought from eBay. I love it but it's a shame it won't get much use.

Rob and I took Leo to his music class which was good fun and then we just relaxed until it was time to pick Ellis up again. I can't really remember but I think Mum may have picked him up and took him to his music class. Or I might have picked him up on my own. Not sure now and I didn't note it down. Doesn't really matter.

Thursday 24th March Rob took the older boys to the garden centre as he had promised them that he would plant sun flower seeds this summer. They got all the stuff and I watched them set it all up. The video is a bit long though.

Ellis got really messy and as his nose was running from his cold he ended up wiping soil over his face. You can't really tell from this photo though.

He looks so grown up in that picture. I can't believe how much he has changed and grown in the last 6 months. Why do they have to grow up so quickly! I don't like it.

Friday 25th March was Leo's final Sing and Sign class and I was determined to make it. Rob was feeling ill again but he managed to drive us to the class after dropping Ellis off at school.

We chilled out at home in the afternoon and then Ellis was soon home from school and taking a nap on the sofa with his baby brother.

When he woke up we did some cooking and made some fairy cakes. I obviously ate most of the cake mixture before it was even in the oven and then I gulped down a few straight from the oven before they even got to see any icing! I can't help it!

Today was the day that we finally picked a name for Baba. I had wanted Oscar for a while and Rob wanted Oliver but he eventually just said I could have Oscar. Hurrah! A name at last so we could eat his birthday cake finally. All 3 boys had the same cake.

That evening I decided that I was going to start getting Leo ready for moving into a big bed. To start the process I add a pillow then later a duvet and then the sides come off the cot. So I put the Thomas the Tank case on the pillow and we showed him it in his bed.

We then bathed all 3 boys, Oscar's second bath before trying to put Leo in his bed with the new addition.

It didn't go very well but I'm sticking with it. He will get better with it, will just take time. He really doesn't like change.

5 in the Car!

19th March, Saturday, The Gills came over for a visit. It's really nice because Ellis and Ethan play together and Leo and Noah play together. Just need to get Tilly to have another one for Baba to play with.

They stayed for a nice long time and everyone had fun. Ellis was very sad to see Ethan go and I promised to arrange another play date soon.

Ellis and Leo are both doing fantastic with having Baba in the house. They have just totally taken it in their stride. They give him attention and love but then leave him alone to go and do their own thing. Also they are both used to sharing me now so I don't think it has been too hard on them having to share a little less time with me. All going well on that front anyway.

Ellis is such a proud big brother. He loves giving Baba cuddles and always tries to get him to calm down when he starts crying, very cute.

In the afternoon Lucy came over with Ashlee and her Mum Sue. We had a lovely time chatting and having cuddles.

Rob was going to take the boys to the park for me so that I could have some rest so he ended up going and taking Ashlee too.

They had lots of fun and Rob managed to get a few videos.

Lucy left and picked Ashlee up from the park on her way. Rob came back about 30 minutes later and I just sat feeding Baba.

The following day started with a visit from Uncle Dave. It was the first time he had seen Baba.

We spent the morning chilling out and playing.

Ellis had a slow start to the day.

Ellis took some pictures which he loves doing and even though we bought him his own camera, he still has to use mine!

Rob walked down to the local shop and bought Ellis a magazine for being a good boy. In it was a few things he could make, one of them being silly monster faces for the ends of pencils. He did it all by himself.

We had lunch then packed up the car for the first time with all 5 of us in it.

We had been invited to my Mum and Dad's house for dinner. First of all though Mum wanted to go out for a walk which was a nice idea.

We got the buggies ready and Baba went into the cocoon for the first time.

Just as we were leaving though my Mum took a tumble out of the conservatory and fell head first into the bumper of our car. It was a nasty fall and she was shaken for a while but was determined to go for a walk as that is what she had in her mind she was doing.

It was a bit chilly but we were wrapped up warm and went to the local park so that the boys could have a run around. They loved it but unfortunately Baba wanted to feed so I missed out on most of the fun.

The sun went down and it was suddenly very cold so we marched back to get some grub. Mum put on a huge spread of delicious food as she always does and it was delicious.

We did the usual bath routine and Mum did do lots of videos but they show the boys bits so I won't be posting them on here.

I fed Baba and the boys chilled in front of the T.V.

At home we put the older boys to bed and I left Baba in the blue chair to snooze until he was due his next feed, which wasn't long and then I followed the kids to bed.
