Yewan

Thursday 27th was a mellow day spent mainly at home. Charlotte popped round with Honour with some fairy cakes they had kindly made for my birthday. We had candles, sang happy birthday to each other (our birthdays are the same day!) and then ate the cakes with a cuppa. Very nice.

My Mum and Dad celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on the 30th May and so they went away to Italy for a week to celebrate. They left on the Friday morning and my sister was then left stuck for a babysitter on that night. It was only for an hour or so so I left Rob to finish bath time and went over to hers. I actually had a really nice time. Kamron was really cuddly and Chloe was very sweet. We watched a film on the bed and just chilled out. Kamron eventually went to sleep so Chloe and I slipped downstairs to watch another film.

31st May was a bank holiday Monday and our friends from travelling came over for a BBQ. Thankfully they were running late so Rob took Ellis to Sainsbury's in the morning to grab some food.

The weather was okay. When the sun was out it was hot but a bit chilly at times. We all sat out in the garden and we got to know their new baby Yewan.

We found a good game for Leo too. He loves to throw. Anything he can get his hands on really. So we put him in a paddling pool full of balls and just let him get on with it.

I love being out in the garden. Taking pictures is always so much easier and I always end up taking loads. Here are just a few.

After Adam, Annette and Yewan had left, we stayed in the garden and Ellis, Daddy and Leo played hide and seek. Obviously there is no where to hide but Daddy seems to be able to make Ellis get quite worried about being jumped out on and they he would run to me as fast as he could with a look of panic on his face before laughing his head off!

The following day was very busy. We had to go to the post office first thing then we went to the sorting office to pick up 2 parcels we had missed in the post. Unfortunately they contained Leo's presents from the Bond and Barbour family and our birthday cards! Doh! He received a lush outfit from the Barbours and a puzzle and book from the Bonds. Thank you guys.

Then we had to take Ella's present around to her house as I didn't realise she was on holiday for her actual birthday. They were out and we were later to find out that they had gone for Nic's 20 week scan. They are having a boy! How exciting, one of each too which is nice.

We had lunch and then we went to Naomi and Iestyn's house for Mummy afternoon. We arrived first for a change and had a really nice time there. The kids just played really nicely. The only problem child was Leo! He was driving me nuts. It wasn't his fault. He just wanted to explore and touch everything and he was tired too. We left a little earlier than normal but we still had a good time.

Sharon and Charlotte had brought along their gifts for Leo which were really cute. My kids are seriously kitted out!

After such a busy day, with very little sleep, Ellis put his head on the kitchen table after dinner and said he wanted to go to sleep. Bless him.

Then on Wednesday we had some more visitors. Vivien, Sophie, Maggie and Ted came over for tea/coffee and a chat. The older kids played outside and Ted and Leo roamed around. I took lots of photos.

The boys went to bed in the afternoon and I spent ages clearing up. Ellis accidentally pushed my vase off the table so there was plenty to do.

Thursday I took the boys to the big shops to take some stuff back and I dropped into the leisure centre to sign Ellis up for swimming lessons. I talked to him about it a bit and he doesn't seem too keen, but hopefully by September he will be more confident.

Back at home I did some sorting out of stuff. I booked Ellis' birthday party, wrote some thank you letters, and threw away some frozen milk. It was milk that I had put a lot of effort in to making and then expressing. It really hurt to throw it away but don't think I could of got away with putting it into Rob's tea.

I'm nearly up-to-date! Hoping tomorrow night I can get the last post done.
