I also forgot to mention that I took the boys to the park on Thursday afternoon. Not for long but I did take a picture and short video, so I better post them.
Anyway, on Friday there was a coffee morning down at the village hall and Charlotte said she would meet me there. I arrived just before 10:30am (our arranged meeting time) and Ellis started making a crown.
He put it on and said, I'm king Ellis!
Then Leo had a run around which was brilliant for him.
I then received an e-mail on my phone saying that Mark had taken Faith's car seat with him to work and that she was going to get the bus and would be there by 11am. Well done her for getting the bus as I would have cried off I'm sure.
They all arrived, a little red in the face at 11am and we sat down for a drink and a bit of a play. It was a bit hectic and there wasn't really anywhere to put Honour or Leo and the craft stuff was rather limited but it was good for a 30 minute chat etc.
Faith and Ellis spent most of the time running up and down the big hall getting tired out.
We then went into the library to replace some books we had had for about 6 months! The older kids sat on the sofa and read together which was really cute and Leo didn't want to be left out. Honour was very happy to roll around the floor.
After the library we walked across to our favourite restaurant to have some lunch. Faith and Ellis were really good and cute and held hands all the way. It does actually make it a lot easier to keep them both safe. Charlotte took these pictures on her phone.
We had a really nice time at the meal. It was obviously very loud and busy at our table but it was fun and the food was delicious.
Ellis started to get really tired and was even trying to sleep with his head on his chair at one point so we rushed to get finished and left.
We walked with Charlotte and the girls to the bus stop and on the way there we could see their bus coming! We all ran! It was so funny! Charlotte went ahead to stop the bus and I brought Faith, Ellis and Leo. Faith's hat flew off so I had to stop for that but we did make it. It wasn't until the bus pulled away that I realised I still had Faith's hat in my hand!
Back at home the boys were very tired and put them both to bed. Not long after Rob's parents arrived and Adam, Sally's brother-in-law, who had come over to sort out our wills for us.
Rob was supposed to already be home but after a night out drinking, he was still being violently ill out of his car window on his journey home from work.
He arrived very late and went straight to the kitchen to lie down. He tried very hard to compose himself and managed to get through all the questions without any trips to the toilet.
It was a shame because if he was on time the boys would have been in bed and we could have discussed it all through without me being distracted so much trying to keep the boys in check.
Needless to say he had a shower and went to bed.
Saturday morning I had a lie in and then I took Ellis out on my own. I dropped Faith's hat off at Charlotte's and I stopped in for a quick cuppa before going to Sainsbury's to get a few bits.
After lunch the boys had their usual nap and then we all walked down to the park to play with the football. It was raining a little bit but it didn't stop us having fun. I loved it so much. It is just what I thought being a family and doing family things would be like. I could have stayed there for hours. I'm easily pleased really.
We then met Caroline, Andrew, Angus and Jock. We had a nice chat and I took some pictures, which Jock enjoyed too.
I'd promised Ellis he could have an ice-cream from the ice-cream van but it wasn't there so we bought some ice lollies from Sainsbury's instead and ate them as we walked home.
In the evening I was picked up by Sarah (Mummy friend) and we picked up Sally and Charlotte on our way into town for a surprise meal for Naomi who was celebrating her 30th birthday.
We arrived nice and early and waited impatiently for Naomi to arrive.
Eventually everyone arrived and we ordered food.
It was really good and we had a lovely time. We gave Naomi her gift, a silver bracelet and then we had dessert.
I went to the toilet at the end of the evening and on my return I knocked into the table which knocked into the next table, pinching Sally's arm! It immediately came up with a bruise. I felt really bad beating up a pregnant woman!
I was home just after 11pm and after a quick chat with Rob I went to bed.
Still not up-to-date but I am really trying! I've stopped taking pictures or videos too so I won't have even more to catch up on.
