My energy levels are still pretty poor but the fact that I'm hardly eating isn't helping so hopefully tomorrow that will pick up.
The boys have been really good. I've actually done stuff with them today and Ellis and I did some art work and then I did puzzles and books with Leo. All good stuff.
Last week I was called into Ellis' school and my first thought was oh no what now! I was to be very pleasantly surprised to be told by Lisa, his key worker, that she was so happy with him, that he had helped her out loads with a new girl that had started that day and who was a bit scared. She said he has showed a real sweet side and was asking the girl if she wanted to play his game with him and stuff. Lisa said she saw a different side to Ellis and that she wanted to let me know how happy she was with him and how good he had been.
On the way home I couldn't stop telling Ellis how proud of him I was and as a special treat for being so good, I said I would buy him something. I asked him what he wanted and he said, "a sandwich". I eventually convinced him that a magazine would be better and so we bought an arty magazine from Sainsbury's which he was very happy about.
"It looks like Daddy!"
He had a lovely lunch with tons of fruit and then went off for a nap.
I ended up having to wake him up but he wasn't happy about it.
Friday was quite a busy day. I had decided to make the extra effort to meet up with the AB girls in between Sing and Sign and Big Stars.
The morning started off early and Ellis had fun trying to write his name. I swear I did not help him and this is what he did. I was very impressed.
He is really starting to enjoy doing things like that. He loves drawing and making things. He especially likes cutting and glueing, so I need to do more of that with him. This is what he made at school and he holds it up to his face and growls! It's supposed to be a dinosaur.
We went to Leo's Sing and Sign class and actually had a good time. On the way there Ellis put on his shades and said "Mummy, I look cool!".
Ellis showed Katherine, the teacher, his glasses and she gave him a high five. She is from Chicago so was saying, that's awesome, totally cool, high five! He loved it.
The boys are always a bit hectic at the class as they are pretty much allowed to do what they want. Leo tapped the box with the hidden cat inside which was really cute as that is the first time he has taken part in the lesson! Ellis was quite good too and sat next to me for some of the time just singing and signing away.
Then I followed a map I had printed off to get to the soft play centre to meet the AB girls. All of us apart from Nicky with Harry made it! I couldn't believe it.
We ate lunch, chatted away, played with kids, did some more chatting before I packed the boys into the car to get to Big Stars gym class.
I'm sure you can guess what happened next after such a busy day.
Rob arrived just after the start time of the class and I was still sat in the car with the boys. There really wasn't much point in trying to wake them up to then try and get them to jump around etc. It just wasn't going to happen so we went home. No one else from the Mummy friend group went either.
The following day is when I was really struck with this virus, or whatever it is. I just couldn't get out of bed. I got up at lunchtime to give Rob a hand as he had cooked his lunch and wanted to eat it but the boys were very rowdy as they were hungry too. So I sorted them out and sat in the living room for a bit. Then I went back to bed at their nap time.
The following day was pretty much the same although I was up for a lot longer in the afternoon and evening.
I have a book on the go at the moment. Echo Burning by Lee Child. I just love his books! But I don't seem to get any time to read them. I have just got towards the end now where you start to find out about everything, like Murder She Wrote when she tells everyone how she worked everything out etc. I just can't wait to finish it so perhaps now might be a good time.
