Washing & Ironing

After a late night last night and another early start today, I was tired this morning and I found it extremely difficult to motivate myself to do anything!

The usual question of "what you doing Mummy?" was grating on me a bit more than normal and I did my best to grit my teeth until nap time.

Ellis had a quick chat with Daddy while sat on the sofa. He usually walks up and down the living room chatting really well but today he wasn't on top form.

I put Ellis down for his nap and immediately started the ironing as I knew if I sat down then it wouldn't get done.

I did this...

...and there was this...

...and this.

I mean the washing in this house has increased considerably recently. Leo was born so that creates a lot more, Rob goes to the gym now sometimes 3 times a week, so that's 3 t-shirts, 3 shorts, towels, 3 pairs of socks, he has also started to stay in Christchurch more often so that is more clothes used in the evenings too. I really wish he could make a pair of jeans and work trousers last for at least a week. If they don't look dirty and they don't smell, then they should go back in the wardrobe. The problem is, he wraps all his clothes up in his bag, which includes his sweaty gym wear.

While we were travelling the globe we didn't always know when we might be near a washing machine so we had to wear the same clothes quite a lot, not underwear I might add, so Rob was used to it. Then we got spoilt by my Mum when we returned and he hasn't looked back.

Rob please help me to keep the amount of washing and ironing down, for the sake of the environment if nothing else. xxx

I cut Leo's thumb very badly while trying to cut his nails and things were not pleasant at home for at least an hour. I managed to wrap his hand in a muslin so I could get to my Mum and Dad's house for a bit of support.

My Dad was really happy so that really helped and he took over almost as soon as I arrived.

I popped around to my sister's house with Ellis to look at some chicks, yes chicks, and a new hamster called Jasmine.

Back at Mum and Dad's we chilled out for a bit until food was served and then it was bath time for the boys. I had a quick shower too so all I had to do when I got home was put the boys to bed and do the blog. Oh, and unpack the bags and sort the next load of washing out ;o)

Tomorrow we have a bit of an early start as we are going to Sarah, Oliver and Amelie's house for AB group. Should be good though and I'm looking forward to it.

Need to be in bed by 10pm if I can, but it's already 9:48pm.
