Napping Together

Ellis has been dry now for another 3 days, including nights apart from one which is ace!

The weekend was quite relaxed, we just mainly pottered around the house doing various things.

We did pop to the park on Saturday and Ellis and Rob had a go on the slide before it started to drizzle and Leo needed a feed so we went into Costa Coffee for a drink and a bit of cake, yummy!

As a reward for doing a poo on the toilet, Ellis has been watching Peppa Pig. We have had to change this reward as he can sit for 20 minutes plus on the loo saying poo poo then Peppa Pig. We have worked out that he is trying to force some out so that he can watch T.V. We have now decided, after a bit of research, to let him watch some select programmes at the end of the day if he has been a good boy. We sit with him and watch too which is really nice as we get to have some cuddles.

I had a bad night with Leo on Saturday so after being up for 2 hours, 7am - 9am I asked Rob to swap with me for the next 2 hours so that I could go back to bed. It worked really well and when Rob put Ellis down for his nap, I fed Leo in bed so got to rest for a while longer. I felt much better after that.

Late on in the afternoon Rob took Ellis out on his bike. He hasn't been on it for ages so he looked really big on it now. He can reach the pedals too and I'm sure with a bit of coaching he will be able to power it himself.

I stayed home with my little smiler, Leo. He fed for ages though so I didn't actually get to do much. I sat chilling and then got ready to pop out to a beginners line dancing class. I wasn't participating just watching some friends.

Leo is never that happy from about 6pm onwards as he is tired and hungry so I had to leave in a hurry. I made it back in time to put him in the bath with Ellis which actually worked out quite nicely. I got lots of food into Leo and he went down first time and didn't wake then until 2am, then 6am, then 7:10am.

This morning I managed to get both boys to bed at the same time. Leo finally went to sleep in his big bed so I shut the door and put Ellis to bed shortly after. He didn't go to sleep until quite late but at least they were both upstairs, safe. I was then able to polish and vacuum downstairs.

I have lost my monitor for Leo's room and it is bugging me beyond belief! I had it when we went to Christchurch for the weekend but since coming home, I can't find it. It cost something like £60 so there is no way I'm just going to buy another one, but I do need it. What to do!?

Leo woke up just as Ellis was falling asleep, so I went to get him and then put him in the door bouncer for a bit so I could continue to sort a few things out, like the washing etc.

I got Ellis up at 1:15pm, he was dry, and we had lunch together before getting dressed and going to the shops, where we met up with Nanny Rennolds.

We did a bit of shopping for some cards, I bought a teether for Leo, tried to buy some tops but they didn't have my new huge size, went to a cafe for a drink and a snack, bought some birthday presents and just generally had a nice time getting through the afternoon.

At home I fed Ellis and we watched a bit of telly before bath time.

Ellis was naughty at bath time so didn't have a story and so was in bed early at 6:55pm. He didn't care though.

Leo went down fine just before 7 then woke at 8 for a top up. I don't expect to hear from him until the early hours but you never know.

I had a lovely day with my boys.
