I was out in the kitchen making a cuppa when I heard Ellis saying "I'm sitting with Leo in the pouffe". First of all "in" the pouffe had me worried and most importantly "with Leo!". I ran into the living room and this is what I found.
When I originally suggested the name Leo for Leo, Rob thought Ellis might get a bit confused with his stuffed Lion which we named Leo. Confused yet? Ellis hasn't had a problem with it though.
Charlotte and Faith came over in the afternoon to watch Ellis for an hour as I had to go to yet another physio appointment. I think they all had fun but I'm sure it was hard work for Charlotte as it isn't long until she is due to pop out her next little girly. Thanks guys for watching my little chappy.
We then walked around to Sally's house for Mummy afternoon. We had yummy chocolate cake and soon decided it was too warm inside so sat in the garden which was great as the kids had loads of room to run around and cause havoc.
It was total chaos when we left and I'm sure it would have taken Sally and Nick ages to have cleared it all up. Sorry about the sand that Ellis threw all over the patio!
Today was a busy one. I was up mentally early, at 6:20am to be exact, putting Ellis on the toilet. He did a huge wee and had a dry pull-up. Yay Ellis! Leo had me up every 2 hours for a feed which lasted 10 minutes or so, so I was actually woken up every 1 hour 50 minutes; that's if I went straight back to sleep.
Leo was wide awake too but I laid on the bed with my 2 boys beside me just relaxing and trying to get the motivation to actually start the day. The worst thing about getting up was knowing that I wouldn't be getting back into bed for a very, very long time.
I put the boys down for a nap at 10:30am and Leo, after 2 minutes of crying went to sleep in his big bed, but Ellis didn't go to sleep until 12pm! I would have gone to get him before then but I was feeding Leo for half an hour and by the time he had finished, Ellis was asleep.
The postman recently attempted to post a parcel through our door but I was in the shower so it was sent back to the depot. Rob said he wanted it for the evening so could I go and pick it up. Normally that wouldn't be a problem but Leo had his music group for the first time at 2pm and I would have to walk down so would need to leave the house at 1:45pm. To try and sum up a very long story I couldn't do it all without asking my Mum to come over early and then to rush there and back and race down to the class. I only just managed it and arrived at the class very sweaty and flustered. That all sounds a bit simple really but if I was to go into great detail about everything I had to sort out, do, remember and tell my Mum, then I would be typing all night!
It was quite sunny out and as I have said I was walking to the class with Leo in the sling. Ellis and Leo are in different sized clothes at different times of the year so I didn't have a sun hat to fit Leo. I made do with using Ellis' current sun hat and although it was too big, I thought it looked rather cute.
Ellis was funny too. He came running into the living room with his hat on, which he had done himself and Mum and I thought he looked like Benny Hill. Very cute.
The music class was brilliant. I had a really good time and I think Leo did too. It was so nice to be back there with all the little babies (actually Leo was second youngest and the rest were all quite a few months older). I was able to bounce Leo up and down with no problems as I am now used to lifting Ellis up who weighs about 2st 4lbs! I remembered all the words and really enjoyed myself. I think also it was the fact that it was just me and Leo doing something together. I play with him at home obviously but we are always disturbed. One on one time was wicked and I can't wait until next week.
The new system worked quite well I thought. The new system being that Mum stayed home with Ellis while I went to the class with Leo. Mum then took Ellis to the park on the way to his class which starts at 2:45pm. I then passed Leo off to Mum after changing and feeding him, and then I got to spend one on one time with Ellis doing his class.
Afterwards we went to Sainsbury's for our usual tea and snack with Sally and Anna. Naomi and Iestyn weren't with us as they have decided not to do the class this term. We really missed them and hope they change their minds and come back.
We did a little bit of food shopping and then went home. Leo started crying on the way back so Mum quick footed back to the house and I chased after Ellis and then carried him the majority of the way back. It was a good work-out but I could have done without it.
Mum left pretty much straight away and Ellis, Leo and I chilled out. I gave Ellis a little snack and he started saying "heart Mummy". He then showed me this. Bless his innocent mind.
Rob came home at the end of bath time so finished off Ellis while I fed Leo. Leo didn't go down too well so I had to give him a second feed after my shower.
Rob had a look at the post and the parcel that I had picked up today, and then reluctuntly told me that it wasn't what he thought it was. He did say sorry though.
I did loads of blogging and browsing the web for stuff to buy, sell and get rid of. I feel the need to de-clutter a bit at the moment. Especially if we are thinking of moving house, I don't want to move all the junk again.
11pm! How late! I'm off to bed and hopefully Leo will sleep better.
What is the white stuff, even if it might look like a heart? x
