"Oh silly Ellis!"
I was 16 weeks pregnant on Monday 27th September and unfortunately I had forgotten to get Rob to take my bump pictures and he wasn't going to be back until Wednesday. So I set up the tripod and asked Ellis to help me, which he loved of course.
Setting up.
This was the result, which was pretty good I thought.
I wasn't feeling very well on Tuesday so we had a pyjama day which actually went really well. Ellis played nicely and even dressed up which he never does.
I had a midwife appointment on Thursday and Ellis had his first swimming lesson so Rob took the day off of work so we all went together. We got to hear the heartbeat of Baby Ben.
I asked Ellis today what we could call the baby if it is a girl and he said Anna. Bless.
We had a quick lunch before going to Ellis' first swimming lesson. I was really nervous and a bit worried about how he would be but he was just so excited. He was really happy, couldn't stop chatting to the teacher and was just bobbing around with a smile on his face.
He got in the pool straight away with 4 other kids his own age. He wasn't wearing armbands and I'm pretty sure he didn't realise as 2 seconds after getting in the pool he slipped under. I could just see the ripples on the water as he was struggling to stand up again. My heart was really going and the teacher had her back to him so she didn't notice. Before I could get any words out of my mouth, he popped back up with a very surprised look on his face. The teacher saw him and said, ooh you been under the water? He blubbered yes and then she asked him if he'd seen any fish. He replied no and was then fine. Phew! I thought that would be it.
He loved his lesson and asked if he could go back soon. The following week it is then.
We went up to my Mum and Dad's as usual for dinner but Rob and I didn't eat as he wanted to go to the gym and I had my Mummy friends over for pizza.
We got home about 7:20pm and everyone was due over at 7:45 - 8pm. Leo went to bed fine but Ellis had had a nap after swimming so wasn't ready for bed. I got the living room ready and drinks out in the kitchen just in time for everyone to arrive. Ellis then decided he wanted to say hello to everyone. He was happy with that but still got up a few times to bug Daddy who stayed home but in our room.
The pizza arrived early and we all tucked in. After stuffing our faces and chatting away for a couple of hours, everyone went home and I cleared up before going to bed.
So close to being caught up now!
when and IF you ever get caught up, I know how that goes...it would be great to see pics of your new house!! Also, in your newest post you mention baby "ben" and then Ellis saying "Anna" if it's a girl...do you know the sex of the baby yet?? So excited for you! Hope you're feeling well and talk to you soon!
ReplyDeleteHiya, do you have a blog I could see? Once house is in a fit state for pics, I will do some. Haven't had 20 week scan yet so not sure on sex
ReplyDeleteof baby and not sure if we will find out yet either. Will obviously do a post about it when it happens.
Feeling great just want to feel baby kicking away now. Hopefully not long. Thanks for commenting.
I used to have a blog, when the triplets were first born, to keep family in touch but it just got too hard to keep up! SO impressed with you and other bloggers that can keep such a good upkeep with your blog! I do have tons of pictures though, i would love to blog but I can never get the pictures to post correctly and well I just gave up. If you know how to use the blog pages easily (for someone who isn't rather computer savvy!) then I'd love to know some hints so I can try again!!
ReplyDeleteI have many friends through the blog world, mostly mom's of multiples but somehow I got a link to your site (I believe through the "McNulty Quads?") anyway, I was hooked. You are hysterical and Leo is a month older than my three so again, I was hooked, I hope you don't mind me peeking in and reading your blog! We should though, do email so I don't take up so much room in your comments area!! =)
Um, I'm not that computer savvy myself and use my husbands skills most of the time. I tend to reduce the size of the photos first and then I just upload them in large size. Nothing fancy.
ReplyDeleteTriplets! That must be interesting. I must admit I was slightly concerned having the scan this time that there would be more than one in there. Not sure how I would cope and the blog would certainly take a back seat.
I love that you read my blog! Please keep reading and don't worry about comment space, I have lots of it! Apart from my Mum, you are my main commentator.
I am now up-to-date and hope to stay that way, but I do maintain a pregnancy blog too so we shall see. I am trying.
Good to hear from you x
