Yoga

No pictures for today so I've put some in from the same date, in previous years.  This is also my 630th post!

No tennis for Ellis as it's chucking it down.

On the bus in Malaysia

I did the early shift and I decided to have a no computer day, so, so far we have been drawing, colouring, puzzles, Guess Who, Lego, cooking, reading, play fighting and Ellis just finished watching a film.

Ellis

The day has gone so slowly!  Trying to entertain all 3 with different things, at the same time has been hard work, but fun.  I have enjoyed it and I've tried to spend one on one time with each child, and I think I've managed it.  Leo sat lovely for some stories and Oscar and I did the shape sorter and some singing.  Ellis and I played Guess Who, did some Lego and played Battleships.

Ellis and Leo playing nicely

Later on, because they were all being so good, I said they could go on the computers for a bit.  They were very happy about that.

I cooked dinner for everyone, early, as I was going out.  Everyone was fed, pyjamas and tooth brushes laid out before I went.

I went to Vivien's new yoga class.  There was only 6 of us there but I knew 2 of the people which was nice as I got to have a little chat but that's it.  There was no messing around or giggles it was work.  I loved it but my muscles are like jelly this evening so I know I'm going to be hurting tomorrow.

Rob did well too.  It's the first time he has bathed and put to bed all 3 boys on his own.  I got back and the house was tidy and all 3 tucked up asleep, which is really reassuring.

Leo and I

Going to watch some rubbish then go to bed.  Feeling rather tired.

5 Metre Badge!

I was feeling quite tired on Friday after a busy day the day before.  Thankfully the kids were being good for me in the morning.

I dropped Ellis and then Leo off at school and went straight home to put Oscar to bed.  I pottered about a bit and the clock soon ticked round to 2:10pm.

I made the bad decision to walk and pick Leo up.  It has been raining a lot recently but I thought there may be a bit of a gap and it would be nice for Oscar to get some air, and me some exercise.  I made it there okay but then I hung around chatting for too long and it was starting to rain as we left.  It then just chucked it down and I was soaked, Leo was soaked and Oscar was snuggly in the buggy.  Leo was tired so I had to carry him and Oscar dropped one of his shoes on the way, so I had to go back to pick it up.  Not great.

Ellis' swimming lesson went well.  I had to take all 3 again which is a bit chaotic but Leo played nicely on the iPad and Oscar had some nibbles in the buggy.  I could see Ellis was doing well but he just needs a confidence boost really.

So, today, Ellis went for his first private swimming lesson.

I had a lie in first thing, but it's so noisy in this house that I just can't sleep properly.  Since Rob bought the surround sound system too the bass just vibrates through the bed and into my ears!

Rob went back to bed as I got up, so I did lunch for the boys and got him back up when I needed to leave for Ellis' lesson.

As I was getting everything ready Leo wanted cuddles so Rob picked him up and we squished him together.  It was nice, but then we started messing around giving him lots of kisses and I received an unfortunate blow to my mouth.  I knew I was hurt straight away and it immediately bruised and bled a little.

Harriett, the teacher, was running a bit late which was fine as Ellis needed the toilet.  Once ready he was taken into the baby pool, which was filled with families enjoying a swim.  I was a bit surprised by that but it worked okay and Harriett was very focused on him.  He did SO well!  I was so proud of him.  He put his whole head under the water to pick some stuff up, jumped in, swam a bit on his front, and swam 5 metres on his back and got a certificate and badge!  As an extra treat I bought him a chocolate doughnut and diet coke.

The afternoon was taken up with the usual things of face painting, Xbox, Ipad, pushing cars, watching TV, Guess Who and play fighting.

Ellis did Rob's.

Leo did mine and took the pictures.

No bath tonight but as I was trying to take Leo off the toilet, he decided to jump up and head butt me again, but this time right on my cheek bone under my right eye.  Oh it hurt and I had to leave the room.  I put a cold press on it and you can't really see in this picture, but it was swollen and red for a while.  Maybe I'll have a black eye to match my fat lip tomorrow.

Dentist Appointment

What a busy, wet day!

First stop was the dentist.  The boys have been every year that they have been born, with me, but have never sat in the chair and had their teeth checked properly.  Once in the room Ellis was called up first and he just climbed up, pushed the button to recline the chair, put his sun glasses on and did all that he was told to do.  I was so proud of him!  He looked at me at one point saying "I love coming to the dentist!".

This of course made it so much easier for Leo, who did exactly the same thing as Ellis and I couldn't have been more surprised or proud.  They both received stickers and we left.

I dropped Ellis back at school then zoomed off to go swimming with Leo and Oscar.  We had a lovely time in the pool and Leo was starting to get more confident, just as Oscar did a poo!  Great!  Our time in the pool was cut short because of it which was sad but couldn't be helped.  Oscar is the first baby of mine to poo while in the pool so I was a bit surprised, but thankfully quite prepared.

When I was sorting Oscar out, I hadn't realised how Leo was sitting so when I stood him up to undress him, he started screaming complaining about his legs hurting.  I quickly worked out that he had pins and needles in both legs and was screaming the place down!  I tried rubbing them and telling him that it would go soon but it took ages and the poor thing was desperate for a wee!  I had Oscar just sat on the baby changing table while trying to sort Leo out and getting myself dressed so that I could take him to the loo.  Quite a chaotic and stressful 5 minutes really but all ended well and we went to the cafe to eat our lunch.

I wanted to waste some time today so that Nicki our cleaner could clean in peace, so we walked over to the shops, in the rain.  Leo had a run around but was soon crying that he was tired so I ended up carrying him.

We bought some football trainers for Ellis and I realised that Oscar had fallen asleep with his chin on his chest, so I sorted him out and carried on around the shop just browsing really.

Oscar had a rude awakening as when we went outside it was windy and raining still.  I tried to run back to the car but it was just impossible and we all got soaked, again.

I still needed to waste some time so we went to McDonalds for a snack and into NEXT for a few things.  I bought t-shirts for Oscar and Leo, some pants and pyjamas for Leo.

Back at home, Ali kindly said she would pick Ellis up for me, so I got the bags ready for going to Nanny's as it was still raining and I was sure football would be cancelled again, which I later found out it was.

At Nanny's we had lots of fun playing battleships on the ipads, rolling balls, jumping over things, watching TV, eating yummy food, reading and just chilling.

The boys were totally shattered by the time I left.  Leo and Oscar fell asleep within 3 minutes and Ellis was very sleepy when I pulled into the drive.

They all went straight to bed and I'm hoping not to hear from them until 7:30am please.

Missed Videos

As I was sorting out pictures and videos for September entries, I realised that I have missed 2 videos for Oscar's birthday.  I'll post them here and add them on to the proper day too.

Two entries in one day! Get me!

House Sale

Oscar has been fine today after his MMR jabs.  He did sleep until 7:20am which was great and the other two didn't get up until gone 8.  How come that never happens on the weekend!?

After dropping Leo off, I took Oscar up the yard to see Mum and Kate.  It was tipping down with rain and very cold so I didn't stay long and I went up my Mum's house for some egg on toast and lots of chocolate!

My sister sold her house yesterday and bought a new one today!  There is no chain on either side so hopefully, all being well, in 6-8 weeks she will be moving!  Chloe will have to move schools, Kamron will hopefully be able to get transport to his school and her horses will only be 15 minutes away.  I think she is thinking of selling one of her horses, probably Boy.

She certainly has a busy time ahead.  Lots and lots to sort out but I'm sure our parents will help her out.

School run was a little bit wet and I made the mistake of not taking a buggy with me, won't be doing that again.

Ellis, Leo and I are on the computers at the moment and then I'll do dinner, bath and bed before sitting back down at my computer.  Be nice to just sit and watch some stuff but I will probably fill out some forms, make Leo's birthday party invite, make some lists, look at rubbish on the web and end up going to bed late.  Need to be strict with myself as not getting enough sleep at the moment.

MMR

A busy, stressful, tiring, fun day.  I'm totally shattered after staying up so late the last few nights and Leo has been waking too so that hasn't helped.

I got up first thing this morning and sorted the boys out, Ellis was ready for school, then I went back to bed for 45 minutes which was definitely needed.

Rob ran Ellis over to school and then shortly after Sophie arrived with Ted and Max.  It was lovely to see her and we did manage to chat a little bit.  Leo was a bit of pain though.  He loves Ted and as soon as they get together they get really hyper.  They scream, run around, throw everything, tip out all the boxes in the playroom and bang the windows.  I tried to sit them down at the table with some puzzles, but the pieces just ended up on the floor!   I had enough and put Leo to bed.

Half an hour later I had to get Leo (who hadn't gone to sleep), get Oscar dressed and get out the door really quickly for gym class.  We arrived a bit late and for some reason I felt very strange.  Totally zoned out, bit light headed and not really with it.  Luckily, Rachael, who helps out at the class, helped me out.

Straight home after for lunch which neither boy wanted so Leo went to bed and Oscar played for a bit longer.

My friend Saskia came over with baby Keira for a visit.  I love seeing Saskia and we can chat and chat and chat.  Hopefully we are going to try and meet a bit more often.

Saskia left and Gemma turned up with Ava for a quick visit before picking the boys up from school.  We didn't hang around but I did speak to Ellis' teacher to get a quick up-date on how he was doing.  She said he was doing amazing, a delightful boy, a pleasure to have around, doing really well socially too.  Such great news!

As a treat he was allowed to come home and go on the Xbox for a bit. He was well chuffed with that.  Hopefully that will keep him going for a while longer.

I decided it would be a good idea to go to the post office with all 3 boys before going to the doctors for Oscar's MMR jab.  We ran up the road, with me carrying Oscar and waited for ages to send one little parcel.

This then meant I was running late for the doctors appointment so it was a mad rush back home and in the car.

At the doctors we waited for 10 minutes before being called in.  Leo immediately started messing around with the scales, Ellis sat on the only chair, with his legs and arms crossed and started telling the nurse we were going to Centerparcs in July, and Oscar was trying to wiggle away.  I sat down and had him on my lap and Ellis and Leo crowded round so that they could see.  I had explained to them what was going to happen.  Ellis was rather concerned so when the first 2 needles went in, and there was blood and Oscar screaming, he ended up looking slightly more concerned and quickly cuddled and kissed Oscar.  So sweet!  Then Leo came over and was worried too.  They all banded together and it was lush to see, even in those circumstances.

We got out of there quickly and I took the boys to the park to cheer them up a bit, plus I didn't want to strap Oscar into a car seat straight away.  I did a video on my phone but it might not play the sound.

We only stayed for a little while and when it was time to leave I thought I might have problems but they were both as good as gold and hardly complained.  Quite refreshing.

Back at home we all had dinner together in the kitchen and I didn't bother with bath time as I just couldn't be bothered to be honest.  I spent the last hour tidying up the house.  It took an hour too but I'm glad I did it as after the boys were in bed I could just sit.

Leo is off to school tomorrow and I suspect I will go up the yard with Oscar.

Finally Up-To-Date!

I'm all over the place at the moment.  I don't feel like I know what is going on when.  It's because I have a diary on the computer which is linked to my phone and iPad, and then I have a calendar hanging up in the kitchen and I think I have some things on one and not on the other!  I need to sort that out.

Plus Ellis' school keeps sending e-mails with new stuff going on and I just can't remember it all!

Another busy Oscar day today. It's an Oscar day because I take him to Sing and Sign in the morning then he has Jolly Babies in the afternoon.

It has rained all day today and I've got wet several times but I've been happy and so have the boys.

Leo has certainly been off colour today though.  He had a nap this morning but has been quite quiet and cuddly most of the day.  He was up a lot in the night, crying for a some reason and was more than happy to go to bed tonight.

I've been blogging all evening.  It's 12:20am (so it's now Tuesday) and I just had to do this entry so that I am totally up-to-date with recent events.  I'm sure I've missed loads of stuff but hopefully just by getting some of it down, the rest will be prompted back.

I don't have any photos or videos so I'm going to post some pictures that my friend took recently at a safari park.  I loved them, so stole them from Facebook, to post on here.

GOODNIGHT!

Proper Big Boy Bed

The first week back to school after the holidays has been a good one.  I've been on a high all week, which is a really long time for me so that was great.

Leo's first night in his big bed went really well.

So well, that a few days later we took all the sides off.

I got Ellis dressed ready for school and realised that his trousers were too short.  I got his new ones out of the wardrobe and put them on and they fit! They were a little bit long but fine.  He was really chuffed that he had grown over the holidays :o)

Size 5!

Rob was leaving late so I was able to take Ellis to school on my own, which is so much easier!  For some reason it felt very strange dropping him off, almost like his first day of school all over again.  He was fine though, as soon as he saw his friends he was off.

Back at home, about 30 minutes after dropping Ellis off, Leo asked me to go and pick him up.  When I said I couldn't he got really upset.  Bless him.

My Mum came over to sit with Leo so that I could go to Oscar's sing and sign class and then after lunch I went to Jolly Babies too.  It's a busy day, in and out, as Ellis has dancing in afternoon too but it does tire them all out ready for bed.

Tuesday we went to Leo's gym class and he loved it. I really messed around with him too so I think he had more fun than normal.

In the afternoon, Auntie Lucy came over as she wanted to avoid her house which was being plastered.

The next day Leo went to preschool and it was just Oscar and I.  It was bittersweet really as I loved just being the two of us but I really do miss my boys.

I spent the day spring cleaning the bedrooms.  I hoovered under , over and on everything.  Oscar slept for a bit but also just played around my feet as I cleaned.

Thursday I would normally take the younger boys swimming but we all just seemed tired so thought I would give it a miss and just mess around at home, which was just as good.

Ellis was supposed to go to football practice for the first time from 5-6pm (horrendous time for a class) but it was cancelled because of all the rain.  I quickly phoned Mum and she said it would be fine to go to her's for dinner.  Because of the football we have switched our day to a Tuesday, but after quickly packing some bags, chucking everything and everyone in the car we got to their's for some delicious fajitas and we bathed all the boys.

I've been out to the cinema a couple of times recently.  Once with Mum and Kate to see Mirror Mirror, and then another time with Ange, James, Lucy and one of her friends, to see The Hunger Games.  I really enjoyed the Hunger Games, so much so that I think I would watch it again.

Friday morning Leo went to preschool again and during the morning the zoo paid them a visit with some animals.  They had giant land snails and a tarantula.  I'm sure they had more but I can't get out of him what he saw.  Insects is what he says.  The teacher told me that he shook hands with the spider and I'm hoping they got a picture.

I went straight to my Mum's to get my hair cut and coloured. Oscar slept for most of it but Dad helped out when he woke up.

We stayed for lunch then picked Leo up on our way home.

Uncle Dave couldn't help with the swimming lesson this week so I had to take all 3 babies with me.  It's been a while since I had to do it and it was just as hard as before.   Ellis did really well though.

We messed around a bit before bedtime.

The weekend zoomed by for some reason.  We didn't do a lot.  I cooked a pasta bake for lunch, set out the plates and realised that something was missing (apart from the food).

Saturday was a pyjama day ending in a bubble bath, more messing around and Leo's new bed.

Rob came up with the idea to eat out for lunch on Sunday.  I thought it was a brilliant idea, so I packed ruck sacks filled with stuff for Ellis and Leo, Oscar had a cool bag full of food.  I took the iPad too just in case.

Rob booked a table and we all went along at 12.  The boys got balloons and we were shown to our table.  It takes me a while to work out where everyone should sit, stopping drinks being spilled, getting Oscar sorted out in a high chair etc so the waitress finally worked that out and left us to it for a bit.

Leo was tired and hungry which is never a good combination but he was pretty good and did eat all of his dinner and some ice cream.  Ellis didn't like his food so we had to encourage him to eat and Oscar just didn't want to eat.  He picked at a few things but that was it.  Rob polished off his burger then helped to try and feed Oscar and Ellis.  I tried to eat my cold burger, which just fell apart, while trying to feed Leo and stop him from covering me in tomato ketchup and grease from his chips.  I think I will leave the eating out for when we are with more people, or just Rob and I on our own. :o)

We went home and chilled out until bath and bed again.

I've done so much blogging over the last couple of weeks.  I can't believe I am actually up-to-date (well apart from the missing months of July, August, September and October!).  I do intend to get finally caught up soon. Maybe. :o)
