I finally finished breast feeding Oscar. It was a gradual thing really, and I got to a point where he was just fussing too much and it wasn't enjoyable. Now the older boys help me out which is so cute.
Leo was still poorly on and off but then Ellis was hit quite badly with a tummy bug which he just couldn't shift. He was happy enough, but just couldn't keep food in, so didn't have much energy and had to nap during the day.
Oscar turned 11 months old and I pretty much missed it! I remember thinking I had to do his monthly pictures but then just totally forgot and I only did a little video diary. How rubbish am I?!
Leo at 11 months.
Ellis at 11 months.
The boys.
Naomi's little boy Harri turned one and Oscar was invited to his first little party. It was at a soft play which was brilliant as he hasn't been to one in recent days.
He had tons of fun playing and trying out all the new toys. We had to leave a little early to pick Leo up from preschool but a good time was had by all.
As I said before we have had a lot of fun times too. Here are some pictures and videos from a few occasions.
The art boxes are now stored in a low down cupboard in the kitchen and not on top of the fridge, which is tidier but also means the boys can reach in and get everything out all the time.
3D puzzle done on his 3rd attempt! |
Ellis is really getting into face painting and he had a go by himself but then got upset that it wasn't going right, for obvious reasons, so I asked him what he wanted to be and he came up with the following idea.
I dressed him up with hat and scarf and put pillows on his lap for snow but he had the whole idea, even the 3 dots on his skinny tummy.
Talking of dressing up, recently I went out for Sophie's birthday and she had us all dressed up in sailor outfits! I was dreading it but after sorting out my outfit and Sophie did my makeup, I actually felt okay.
We started the evening at Sophie's house, having a few drinks then got a taxi (mini bus) to the pub where she works for a few drinks. Well Sophie had a few more than a few and by the time we were back in the mini bus (8:30pm) she had had too much and we had to take her home :o)
We managed to get her in her house, some of the girls cleaned up the mini bus and Sophie's friend Kathy stayed behind while the rest of us when on out into town. We all had a brilliant time and I took loads of photos but these will have to do for my "family" blog.
It was a really late night/early morning but we managed to stop for some food on the way home.
I actually spent my first night away from home since July 2010! I spent my night away on the floor of little Ted's bedroom trying to get some shut eye. It didn't work and as you can see from the picture below, I was tired the following day.
A McDonalds brekkie sorted me out though and I was feeling very happy about my night out. Just need to book a Spa hotel weekend away now, especially as Rob coped so well.
The weekend after my night out was spent chilling at home, gaming, which seems to be the main source of entertainment in our house.
I decided Oscar was getting big for his baby car seat so I put in the bigger seat and he looked so grown up!
We had our first flurry of snow in February too. It wasn't much but it was the week Rob was working away in Scotland and I was worried he might get snowed in.

At bath time, sometimes we dress the boys up in dressing gowns and call them wizards. Ellis loves it, Oscar isn't bothered and Leo can't stand it.
Just some other pictures from the 1st half of February.
I will return with the second half of February soon...
