Ellis is 3!

I filmed Ellis coming into the room to see his presents but I did it on the main camcorder so I can't post it on here.

The first part of the morning was spent opening presents.

We then had breakfast and I packed the bags, made a packed lunch and loaded the car before we left for the safari park.

We drove all the way there which took quite a long time then we queued for ages to get to the park and then once there we queued some more to get in. Little did we realise but we would be going straight into the safari section with the animals and we didn't have a toilet break!

Leo was strapped in his seat from about 9:30 - 2:30pm and Ellis didn't need the toilet for the whole time, amazing!

Anyway it was nose to tail all around the park but it was still good. Luckily it wasn't too hot and we were allowed to open the windows at times to feed the goats and deer. Ellis did it all on his own a couple of times and loved it.

One of the highlights was a camel who stuck his head in our car and then just sat resting on our bonnet. Not literally but I wasn't able to move anyway. Here are all the videos and pictures of the animal section.

We parked up after the animals and immediately Ellis wanted to pee, as did I. I ran off to find the toilet and when I got back I took Ellis.

It was then time for a picnic as we were all really hungry and hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was nearly mid afternoon!

Then it was time for some rides! I love rides and I was hoping Ellis would be a willing ride companion. As it happened, he was. We got our wrist bands and Rob decided he didn't want to ride anything so Leo and Rob sat on the side line as Ellis and I went from ride, to ride, to ride. The best one was a little roller coaster. Ellis was sat quite happy chatting and cheering and then we went down a little drop and his face just changed to this stunned look! It was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. He still seemed to enjoy it though.

Here are all the videos and pictures from the rides.

I decided that it would be best to have dinner in the park before getting in the car to go home as I knew the kids would fall asleep within seconds. We chose a burger bar thing but the food was vile. A very bad decision of mine.

It rained quite heavily as we went back to the car so we ended up running up a very steep hill, with me carrying Ellis and Rob pushing the buggy. We didn't get too wet and within seconds of leaving the park, the boys were asleep.

A lovely fun birthday had by all the family. I loved it!

Sorry about the huge delay in posting anything but we have moved house and I haven't had the PC up and running. Also lots going on, which I will post about soon, I promise as I'm on a mission to get up-to-date.
