They did their work brilliantly up until lunch.
Leo's knee is still playing up so after a couple of phone calls I decided to take him to the near by minor injury unit. He said it felt strange being out in the car and kept asking me what the different noises were as he wasn't used to them anymore. 😊
We eventually got in by the correct door and they were so good. We had to stand in all these different boxes laid out in tape on the floor. We checked in, then had to line up facing a certain way so that a nurse could take our temperatures. Then we had to wash our hands and sit in the waiting room. Every other chair was taped up so we couldn't sit together. We didn't have too long to wait and then we were called in.
The nurse examined it thoroughly and asked him lots of questions. The result was a pulled ligament on the inside of his knee. He needs regular pain killers and to use it as much as possible with ice and rest in-between. He walked back to the car a little bit more confidently. Hopefully he will be fully recovered soon.
Once we were home we had a late lunch and then tried to get back into some school work. Unfortunately I think the break in routine had put a stop to it. We did a little bit more but ended up finishing slightly early as Leo had had enough for one day. That was fair enough. First day back is hard for most and he worked really well in the morning. I must admit I was feeling a bit drained by the end of the afternoon too.
Rob had gone into the office for the day and I'm sure he enjoyed the break from listening to Sam & Cat whining on TV. He didn't get back until quite late after a busy day.
The boys spent the rest of their day on their iPads with friends and actually going into the freezing cold paddling pool! They keep asking me to put hot water in it. 😃😂
I put the boys to bed, showered and blogged. I watched the next Killing Eve episode but I wasn't overly impressed. I probably just wasn't in the mood for it. Feeling a bit flat like the paddling pool, which probably just translates to need sleep. Which is what I'm going to do now. Night all x 😴
