Day 31 - Freedom!

Just like that 2 weeks Easter Holidays are done! I feel like I've just woken up from a long sleep.  Where did that time go!?  See it won't be so bad after all.  Once we're all out and about again, we'll be like what was all the fuss about!? 🤔😊.

I had my last lie in this morning.  Which means I stayed in bed awake for 3 hours from 6am to 9am.  I had one of those nights where you see every hour on the hour but didn't get up feeling too bad which is good.

I had a good day today which was mainly because I got out out! I had that sweet taste of freedom and I loved it!  I put the lid down on my Mum's car and sped down the ring road loving every minute.

On arrival at my parents house was a chair and cup of tea.  I wasn't "visiting" as such so I didn't feel too naughty about it.  Rob is going into the office tomorrow which would mean I would be left with a 2 seater car.  So just in case of an emergency I had to swap the cars back.

I had a lovely chat with both of them and got myself a new puzzle to do too.  My Mum was very happy to see me which was lush and as you can see, we kept our distance.  The goodbye is the hardest.

Next stop was B&Q to pickup our click and collect paint for the fence and summer house/shed thing.  They have a queuing system where you stay in your car and they bring it to you.  I thought it worked quite well apart from the bloke who pretty much put his head in my window to tell me to drive forward.

Then it was the Sainsbury's click and collect.  Rob had asked me to pick something extra up though so I had to go into the store.  I hated every second of it.  I hugged the walls and went around the edge of the building to pick up what I needed and legged it back out.  Such a strange atmosphere in there.  I got my stuff and got home to do lunch and put it all away.  It seemed to take forever!

Daily baby dose 😂😍👶.  Kate said she was having all the kids back today.  I have no idea who planned that but I think it's crazy!  5 kids to look after, 2 autistic children and a newborn in the mix.  Good luck and I'm sorry I can't be there to help out x

I was buzzing when I got home from my small bit of freedom.  It really cheered me up but was probably a bit too much excitement in one go as I ended up with a headache for the afternoon.

We had a family game of Cluedo today.  Everyone played.  Oscar doesn't have a clue, Leo was distracted within 2 minutes, I don't really know what I'm doing, Rob loves it and works out a system and Ellis just goes insane trying to work out what is going on.  It was so funny to watch how differently we all approached it.  It was great fun, but didn't last long as Rob got lucky with working out what room it happened in. 😊 I think we will be doing it again which is nice.

After clearing up from lunch and finishing off putting the food shop away I ventured into the garden with my book.  Get me on chapter 18!  It's slow going but I am enjoying it.  I had a little read and a lovely chat with my Saskia.

I shot some hoops before going in to sort out dinner for everyone. Then after that I got all the school stuff ready for the morning.  I really can't believe it's home schooling time again!  I'm not worried this time.  If they finish all their work in the morning, then so be it, they can go and play.  Especially as the weather is going to be nice, I would rather they got outside.  I'm looking forward to being a bit more occupied and having a routine.  Leo is looking forward to doing Joe Wicks work out but not sure how he'll do it with his bad knee.  I'll be calling the doctors about that tomorrow to see what they suggest.

4pm is chat with Mummy Lot time.  It usually takes us about half an hour just to get everyone on the screen working!  It worked well today though and we all had a good natter about stuff.

Leo was desperate for the paddling pool to be out and seeing as it's supposed to be nice for a few days in a row I agreed.  I started to get it set up for him but Rob stepped in so that I could finish off sorting the kitchen and school stuff out.

I am really missing netball.  I'm missing the competitive side of it, missing the girls and the fitness.  This weekend England Netball on Youtube showed the Commonwealth games again and I watched, nervous, even though I know the results! 😂😂 Amazing games. 👏

Put the kids to bed and then sat on my bed with the laptop, scrolling through rubbish, doing me blog and just chilling for the evening.  I have to be up at 8 tomorrow which isn't that early, just hope to sleep better tonight.  Bring it on 💪

Today I learnt that I love freedom  and driving a nippy little sports car with the roof down 😂 I'm missing netball and I'm grateful for time with my family.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow. xxx
