Cheers Drive

This weekend was, for me, rather boring. We stayed in the whole weekend and Mummy and Daddy were very busy getting rid of loads of stuff from the garage and loft.

Saturday night bath time was good fun. I have this new toy from Christmas and Daddy calls him Mr Seahorse. He fits perfectly in my mouth, but the fun part is that Mummy and Daddy can't get him out!

On Sunday Daddy and I had a long lie in.

Mummy dressed me in a big boys t-shirt that Daddy got me for Christmas. It says "Cheers Drive" on it which is apparently something we say where we live. Mummy said it made me look a lot older than I am.

I've been sleeping rather well recently. I hope that I can keep it up as it allows Mummy to get loads of rest too.

Trunks

Thursday morning I had some more door swinging time. I haven't been in the door swing for ages so Mummy had to raise the bar up. Unfortunately I think it was slightly too high and my feet could hardly touch the floor.

In the morning Mummy was taking some photos of the floor. I couldn't quite work out what she was doing until she showed me this picture - very cute.

The weather was really horrible so we stayed in until Nanny Rennolds called and asked us if we wanted to go to Morrisons with her. We love it there for some reason so we quickly accepted.

At Morrisons we looked around at all the lovely food. It is all displayed so nicely. Mummy wanted to buy me some butternut squash and pumpkin but surprisingly they didn't have any.

Nanny bought some scallops and then a nice man put 2 more in for free! Nanny later phoned Mummy and told her that her recipe with the scallops was a huge success.

The afternoon and evening was spent just playing at home.

In the evening I was bathed, fed and in bed by just after 7. Mummy was shattered and used her evening to vegetate in front of the television.

Friday morning is swimming time. We arrived slightly early so took our time getting ready. Mummy bought me some new trunks with her this week but they were slightly too big for me.

Swimming was really good and I enjoyed it loads. I had this little rubber toy that I was allowed to chew on and I looked like an otter eating on his back while going around the pool.

After swimming we went to get some diesel. I fell asleep but apparently it took Mummy ages as the garage was really busy.

At home we had a quick bit of lunch and a short nap before going out again to Twinkling Stars. This week we were all given really brightly coloured bits of material that floated through the air. It was amazing to see, as there were hundreds of them going up and down.

At home it was time for yet another nap and I was woken up by Daddy coming home. He always likes to get me from my afternoon nap.

We played and chatted for a while and then it was soon time for bath and bed. I woke a lot in the night with a new cough and Mummy said I was snoring too. I hope I don't become ill again.

Mummy spent her evening batching up some broccoli, peas and carrots for me. Yum, yum, I think.

Hair Raising Experience

Tuesday morning Mummy and I had a photo session. I am really getting quite confident with having my photo taken, but try as I might, Mummy wouldn't let me be the one to take the photos.

Nanny came over and we went to Jolly Babies. It was good fun as always and we even did a little bit of line dancing. Nanny looked very proud.

Straight after we went to the Mall again as Mummy had to take some pyjamas back to Marks and Spencer. We wandered around for a long time and I managed to catch a glimpse of a very good looking baby. I stopped for a quick chat of course.

We had lunch in a nice little cafe, and as we were leaving we spotted Sally and Anna. Mummy shouted hello at them over the balcony.

Walking around the shops, I noticed that a lot of people smile at me and comment on my hair and try to talk to me. It is really nice and I feel like a superstar but soon they will be wanting my picture.

Back at home, I kept Mummy busy until Daddy got home and then I kept him busy instead. Daddy bathed me as Mummy was batching up some apple and pear for me.

I was in bed at a sensible time but I think Mummy is hoping I will be in bed earlier tomorrow as she is going out to line dancing which starts at 7:30.

Wednesday is Mummies morning, well today it actually ran into Mummies afternoon as we were all having such a nice time and we didn't have anything else we would rather of been doing.

We were around Sally and Anna's house but we should have gone to Sarah and Toby's but Toby's brother, Oliver was sick and we were worried about catching a bug. Sarah said she understood and we all hope Oliver feels better soon.

Sophie and Anna are doing really well at sitting up as you can see from this picture.

We were at Sally's for so long that Faith and I had a kip or two.

We eventually thought we had outstayed our welcome and managed to drag ourselves out of the house. We walked home, me in my sling, and it was really windy. It was so windy that it really messed my hair up, literally.

Once Mummy had stopped laughing at my hair and taking pictures, she got on with rushing around doing a quick bit of housework. I was a bit whiny on my play mat but I managed until about 4 when Mummy put me to bed for an hour.

In the evening I played with Daddy and was eventually bathed and put to bed.

Forgot Me!

Yoga this morning and we were running late as always. We were running so late and Mummy was rushing so much, and she was very tired, that she almost forgot to put me in the car!

Yoga was packed. There is usually only 5 of us, Sarah and Thomas, Lorna and Anthony, Kerri and Oliver, Rachael and Euan and Mummy and I, but today there was 7 Mummies and their babies. It was really cramped and hot.

Everyone pretty much behaved themselves and Mummy had a nice chat with everyone after the workout. I went to sleep of course.

We left yoga quite late and stopped in Ikea on the way home. The things that Mummy wanted weren't there so we just bought a new cereal bowl, (Mummy smashed one) and a runner for the table. Not really sure what that is.

We popped up to Nanny and Granddad Rennolds' house to drop off an anniversary card for Auntie Katie but we soon realised that Nanny was on her way to see us! We couldn't believe that we had let Nanny down, so after a quick cuppa we made our way home, quickly, where Nanny was waiting outside.

I had a sleep while Nanny and Mummy chatted about stuff that I am too young to even be interested in yet.

Mummy entertained me until Daddy came home and then she cooked dinner for Daddy and Uncle Dave, who came over to help Daddy run the pipe from the bathroom to the kitchen.

I was really tired from about 5 o'clock and rather than go to sleep, I just got grumpy instead. I needed a lot of attention.

After dinner, Mummy carried me around until it was bath time. I cried the entire time as I was so tired and hungry. Mummy fed me but I fell asleep quite quickly. I think I may wake later for some more food.

Mummy spent her evening, ironing and typing up the blog. We didn't take any pictures today so here are a few oldies.

Food For Me!

On Saturday morning Mummy was changing my bum, as she always does first thing and I noticed a long white cord hanging down from the ceiling. Mummy stood me up so that she could pull my trousers up and I decided to take my chance, and grabbed the cord. As soon as I did, the light went off! I soon learnt that if I pulled and let go, the light goes on and off. It was so much fun and I was doing it for ages. Mummy got bored before me and so she took me downstairs.

For regular blog readers, you might remember that a few weeks ago Mummy bought me some new sleeping bags. Well here is a picture of one of them. Mummy doesn't like it though as it has poppers all the way down it rather than a zip.

Daddy made bacon sandwiches for breakfast and then we went out to the Mall to do some shopping.

While we were in NEXT buying some new baby grows, we bumped into Rachael, Andrew and Euan. It was so nice to see them as they haven't been at yoga for ages. I think they are going to go this week though, so it will be nice to catch up.

We were shopping for ages so we stopped in a cafe for some lunch before going home.

Back at home and Mummy and Daddy were busy doing things around the house. I did my usual thing of playing on my mat, while singing and talking.

Mummy put me to bed in the usual way and then Daddy and Mummy went out downtown for a leaving party. Mummy's friend Carla and her husband Chris are moving to Perth, Australia, forever! Mummy was really sad but enjoyed the party. She even got to have a dance, which she loves. Uncle Wayne looked after me which was really nice of him as his wife Nic was in London watching the Spice Girls. I think Daddy was jealous about that.

On Sunday Mummy and Daddy were very tired from having a late night but I was ready to get on with the day. Mummy and I went downstairs and just chilled out until Daddy got out of bed.

The morning was spent doing more things around the house. Daddy put up some pictures and then spent lots of time trying to get a pipe from the bathroom, down to the kitchen and into the back of the freezer.

After lunch Mummy wanted to go for a walk. It was freezing out so Daddy and I wrapped up warm.

We had a really nice walk though. Well, Mummy and Daddy did. I just sat in the buggy all nice and warm and went to sleep.

Mummy spent most of Sunday in the kitchen, cooking. I later found out that she was cooking for me! I can't wait to start trying it all. It wont be long now and I will be trying some baby rice and milk.

Usual nightime routine and I was in bed at 7:30. What another busy weekend. I can't believe it is yoga again tomorrow.

Snow

I slept really well last night, 7:30pm til 4:30am. I had a nice large feed in the morning and went back to sleep for a bit.

The weather was horrible outside but we had to go swimming as we hadn't been for ages. We wrapped up warm and made it to swimming just before 11, getting rained on in the process.

We went in to the pool and Nanny, Auntie Katie, Chloe and Kamron arrived shortly after. It wasn't long before we were all in the pool having fun. Luckily we were the only ones in the pool and Nanny managed to capture some videos and pictures.

After swimming, we had a shower and then got wet in the rain going to the car. We then went to a nice restaurant for some dinner with Nanny, Grandad, Auntie Kate, Chloe, Kamron, Great Uncle Roger and Great Auntie B. We had a really nice time but did get wet going to and from the car. It was really slushy, cold rain.

Just after we got back in the house, getting wet again of course, it started to snow! It was amazing and Mummy was really excited. We watched it out the window for ages.

We didn't have long before we had to go out and get wet again. We had to pick Charlotte and Faith up on our way to Twinkling Stars.

This week, because I had a nap in the afternoon, I had loads of energy and really enjoyed myself. I showed everyone my new teeth and spent some time standing around with my girls, Faith, Sophie and Anna. Iestyn and I tried to hold hands for a bit but Mummy wouldn't let us. Not sure why.

Back at home, after getting wet yet again, Mummy had a shower and I went to bed. Mummy is out tonight at a line dance.

Daddy did my bath and got me dressed and Mummy fed me and put me to bed. I was still wide awake for about half an hour but I soon went to sleep all by myself.

Mummy took some videos of Nanny and Granddad doing some line dancing.

Mummy also took a photo of R Ange with Granddad and R John in the background.

Mummy said she had a fantastic time and can't wait to go again.

2 Teeth

The cause of my sleepless nights is my 2 new teeth! They have now broken through the skin and Mummy wont let me bite on her finger anymore. I don't think Mummy will have the chance of taking a photo of them for a while yet.

Mummy morning was wicked as usual. Iestyn and Anna were missing today but we still had lots of fun.

Mummy managed to get some video and pictures of me sitting up, kind of.

Me being naughty

Me sitting

Mummy was shattered after doing so much yesterday and then not having enough sleep but we had arranged to see Auntie Lucy in the afternoon.

We had lunch at home and then went around to Auntie Lucy's house. Ashlee was there and so was Ria with her Nanny and Grandad. We had lots of fun and Mummy really enjoyed having a chat.

Back at home and bedtime was a nightmare again. Mummy went out though and I had Daddy hold my hand until I fell asleep. I hope the pain goes away soon.

Thursday is generally the chores day. Mummy does washing, ironing, tiding and shopping if anything is needed.

Today though we went to the library, picked up a couple of books and stayed for the nursery rhymes session. Towards the end there was a really nice surprise, Nanny Rennolds arrived!

We did some food shopping and I fell asleep of course as it is so boring.

At home Mummy put me to bed but I could hear Nanny and Mummy doing a crossword together.

When I woke up Daddy was home. He looked after me while Mummy cooked the dinner. I sat at the table with them using my cup, but I don't like the taste of the water. I do drink the bath water but that has bubbles in it to add flavour.

Mummy had to sing to me to get me to calm down enough to have my last feed. I eventually dozed off and I was put in bed. I wasn't happy about it at first but I soon settled down.

I cannot believe that it is Twinkling Stars again tomorrow! Now that things are back to normal and we are busy again, the days just tick by. I'm 23 weeks old on Sunday, I'm getting old.

Foot and Mouth

Mummy spoke too soon about me sleeping well. I have 2 teeth coming through on the bottom and they have woken me up in the night. It really hurts and there isn't much that Mummy can do.

Monday morning and we went to our yoga class. It was really nice to see everyone. We are all growing up so quickly.

Mummy had a really good work out at the yoga because we were all so well behaved.

Back at home and we had visitors. Charlotte and Faith came over to see us. We had such a nice time, playing, chatting and eating.

I am actually doing quite well with my sitting up. Mummy hasn't been able to get a picture yet though.

In the evening we had to pick up our car from Nanny Georges' house. Nanny was at work so we popped in to see her first and then left Daddy to go home for my bath and bed.

Tuesday is Jolly Baby day. We had a really good time and I was so happy to be back there. I was really vocal and everyone was laughing at me, or with me, I'm not sure.

We then popped up to Nanny and Granddad Rennolds' house to pick up some car keys and then rushed home to pick up my red book for our visit to the health visitor.

I was weighed in at 18lb 1oz. I am getting really big now and I'm growing out of all my clothes. Good job I received loads for Christmas.

We then went food shopping. I fell asleep as it was really boring and I didn't wake up until Mummy had just finished at the check-out.

At home Mummy was working hard getting the kitchen sorted out and I played on my mat.

While I was on my changing mat, waiting for my bath, I found out that I can actually put my foot in my mouth. Mummy just laughed at me but I thought it was well cool.

Bedtime was a nightmare! I was put down at about 7:30 and I was still screaming the house down at 9pm. Not a good start to the night.

Deep Sleep

Since being in my big bed, I am actually doing quite well with my sleeping. I still wake once, sometimes twice for a feed but I have bigger gaps of sleep. Mummy said she is actually finding it a bit harder at the moment as she is being pulled out of a deeper sleep than before. I am sure she will get used to it.

On Saturday, Daddy said he was going to be doing computer stuff so Mummy and I went out and did a bit of shopping. We then didn't want to go straight home so we ended up going out for lunch with Nanny and Granddad Rennolds, Auntie Katie, Alex, Chloe and Kamron.

For the rest of the afternoon we were up Nanny and Granddad Rennolds' house. I laid on the floor in the living room just chatting to the ceiling and Mummy, Nanny and Granddad just watched me. It was really good fun though and I was really tired by the end.

At home, Simon and Wayne were visiting and I had fun laughing at Simon being silly.

Sunday morning arrived quite quickly and Mummy and I had a photo session. I was 5 calendar months old yesterday so Mummy always takes some head shots of me. Here are just a few of her favourites.

Daddy was out in the morning doing computer stuff and when he returned we went to the Lock Keeper pub for lunch.

We then popped into see Nanny and Granddad Rennolds as Daddy had to do some computer stuff there.

We stayed quite a while and I had nice cuddles with everyone.

Mummy had a really nice time chatting to Granddad about his past. They were talking about his jobs, his school days, his Grandparents, his Daddy and loads more. Mummy was finding it very interesting.

I did a new thing today, played on a piano. It was really good, and Mummy showed me a couple of songs that she could remember. I think she is in need of some practice though.

At home it was the usual routine of bath and bed. We are back at yoga tomorrow which should be good but it does mean an early start. Booooooo!

Fridge

Wow, what a lovely nights sleep. I went to bed around 7:30am and I woke at 3:30am for a feed and then didn't wake until 8:10am. Mummy was very pleased.

Today we had to wait in for a delivery of a massive fridge, freezer. I just chilled out on the sofa.

It didn't arrive until 2 o'clock and it didn't fit in the house so they left it in the garage.

At 3 we left for Twinkling Stars. We haven't done anything like that in ages so it was really strange. It was really nice to see the others. Iestyn, Faith, Sophie and Anna were there. All of us are doing really well on sitting up on our own. I was very tired come the end and by the time Mummy pulled out of the car park, I was asleep.

I was put straight in my bed when I got home and I slept for an hour.

I played with Daddy for a bit when he came home from work and then Mummy gave me a bath and put me to bed.

Dancing and Singing

This morning I was expecting to just stay in again as we don't have a car. I slept quite well which was good for Mummy.

We chilled out in the morning and then Granddad Rennolds came over to pick us up.

We stopped off at the shops for some milk and then we picked Chloe up from nursery. I was asleep by this time.

Back at Nanny Rennolds' house I had loads of fun. I did some dancing with Mummy.

I also had some time in a walker which had some wicked sounds if you pulled the correct levers. I'm getting quite good at it now.

We popped out to Next to buy some new clothes, Mummy got some nice tops, and then we went back to Nanny's for some food. Mummy had a really nice meal of lamb, vegetables and gravy.

Mummy took me home and Daddy gave me a bath. I was in bed a bit later than normal but I fell straight to sleep.

While I was sleeping, Mummy went back to Nanny's to write the blog as Nanny had the videos that we needed.

Nanny has a new iPod for Christmas and she has just started to use it. I don't think it will be long before Granddad takes it off her.

Yo-Yo

Another boring day. I'm getting really fed up with just staying in our living room all the time.

I'm still not well so we didn't go to Mummies Morning, which was a shame as I know Mummy was looking forward to actually seeing another adult other than Daddy.

I was in my big bed again last night but because I kept coughing myself awake, Mummy had to keep coming in and seeing me. She was up and down like a yo-yo and was very tired today because of it.

Mummy did her ironing and I just lounged around. I was put too close to the tree at one point though and I nearly managed to grab a bauble.

When Daddy came home from work I had a feed before being put in the car and going to the local pub to meet up with our friend Adam.

Mummy and Daddy stayed with Adam in Shanghai and then went on a little trip around China with him. You can see the adventures by clicking on the Travel Diary link on the right hand side.

All we did though was to have some food and a chat. Adam gave me a Christmas present of a picture frame with a cuddly panda around it. It is very cute.

Mummy and I left Daddy at the pub and went home for my bath and bed. I'm still not well and I can't eat properly. Can't wait until I am better and I can fill my tummy up.

Normal

Monday was Daddy's first day back at work and we really missed him. I was still unwell so I spent the day sitting on Mummy's lap and snoozing.

In the afternoon Mummy and I took a quick walk to Sainsburys and back. The weather was horrible outside and probably not a good idea for Mummy to be walking in it. I was okay as I was all wrapped up in my foot muff.

At Sainsburys Mummy bought some food for her and Daddy. They were planning on having a meal and then just watching the fireworks on telly at midnight. We had all been invited over to Wayne, Nic and bumps house, but Mummy and Daddy wanted a quiet one.

In the evening Mummy had a change of heart. We had also been invited over to see Leighton, Jaidan and Sabriel. The good thing about going there is that Mummy could bath me and put me down to sleep on their big bed.

Daddy came home from work and we left straight away. When we arrived it wasn't long until I had my bath. Sabriel joined me which was really nice. I had a long feed and went straight to sleep.

Mummy and Daddy sat with Leight and Jaidan and watched the fireworks at midnight. Shortly after, they came in to get me. I was awake anyway. They put me in the car and when we got home, I was still awake. Mummy fed me and put me in my big bed! I didn't wake then until 5:30am.

The following day and Daddy is home again. I was feeling very ill again so Mummy gave me some Calpol. Daddy was ill too and stayed in bed until late. He then came downstairs and fell asleep on the sofa.

Mummy and Daddy played a pub quiz for an hour or so. Mummy actually did quite well and was really pleased with herself.

After my nap, Mummy read to me. I received some books at Christmas, so it was nice to actually see them. Mummy is really good at reading stories. She does all these funny voices, and faces.

Hopefully next week, things will get back to normal. Although there is a slight problem as Daddy's car is broken and in the garage. This means that he takes Mummy's car to work and we are then stuck at home.
