What a wet day. It was raining as I was having my lie in, and it was raining when I finished putting the kids to bed at 8:30pm.
Lie ins aren't what they used to be. The boys are so noisy that I do struggle to sleep, I tend to just dose, flip from side to side and just lie with my eyes closed thinking.
Rob brought Oscar in after his nap and Leo came in too and we had some snuggles on the bed which was fun.
Rob made me bacon sandwiches for lunch which were yummy and I then fed the boys before receiving a phone call from Mum to go swimming at a new leisure centre. I had mentioned to Rob about going swimming but he didn't want to go so this worked out quite well.
Leo was too tired and didn't want to go either so he went to bed and I took the other 2 with me.
The new leisure centre was really nice but we did run into a problem straight away. The baby pool was full! The man eventually let me and Oscar in and Mum and Ellis went into the big pool which was freezing! I could see them bobbing up and down trying to keep warm and I later found out that Ellis told Nanny to stop putting cold water on him. Poor things.
I found the baby pool was quite cool too but luckily I had Oscar's wet suit on. When Mum and Ellis finally joined us they felt freezing! They soon warmed up and we moved about the pool having a lovely time. Ellis couldn't touch the bottom at any point so he had to hold on to someone. We did manage to borrow a float for a bit so he swam around for ages with that.
We stayed in for quite a while, until my fingers had gone wrinkly, and we all got out at the same time.
We got a family changing room and Mum ran off to have a shower. By the time she got back, the boys were done and I was about to get dressed! :o)
Mum had quite a "fun" experience in the showers. They are in very small cubicles and they are just push button operated. She was already to go, pushed the button and was showered with ice cold water. It took her breathe away and there was nothing she could do but stand there and take it! She couldn't run out naked and she couldn't turn it off! She said it almost gave her a heart attack :o)
They had free dryers for a change so I dried Ellis' hair and Mum had brought her hot brush so was able to sort her hair out too, and dry her feet!
We had a look around the complex, in the gym, the swimming viewing area and the dance studios. If I lived closer it would be a lovely place to become a member.
We stopped in Nanny's for some food and drink and we left just after 7.
Arriving home, I found Rob and Leo having a bath. So cute. Ellis felt left out so he soon jumped in too.
I sorted Oscar out, he was too tired to drink his milk, and then I finished off the other 2 boys. I didn't get back downstairs until 8:30pm and I did some blogging and chilling before bed.
I must add this pictures of Ellis in bed, asleep, wearing his 60's glasses! It was so funny, but you can't see it very well on here.
